I haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet. Look forward to trying it out in the spring time.

Obviously, the first thing you’ll notice is how good these rods look. They’re beautifully built and come in a variety of bright colors. They’re solidly constructed and very durable while also being relatively lightweight and easy to assemble. They are perfect for backpacking or transporting in a small vehicle. This brand delivers on all fronts. They make quality products that not only look good, perform well and stand up to task of helping you land big fish but they also offer you a good deal for your money. I own several rods, reels and other fishing tackle from this brand and every piece of it is excellent quality.

I paired this 7' medium heavy casting rod with a graphite frame casting reel and it balanced very well. Pretty effortless 80 to 90 ft casting of a 5" senko (green pumpkin) on a weedless Carolina rig.Very fast rod and the fighting butt makes a great handle for 2 handed casting. Very comfortable and light rod. This rod does have ceramic micro guides and nothing but a line will go through those. I generally use a 15 to 20 lb light braid and use a double uni knot to attach about a 12 to 15 ft 8lb fluorocarbon or mono leader. With the Carolina rig, I tied the braid directly to the swivel. The line slides through the guides like butter and line silently flies through the guides on long casts. Not my favorite looking rod, but I certainly won't misplace it.I fished a pond using a segmented approach casting about 30 degrees apart with this rod and the senko, an ultralight spinning rod/reel with a 1/16" oz jighead and a 2" green pumpkin skirt, and 3 wt flyrod with a variety of top water bugs with a nymph dropper.... The only fish I caught was a 16" largemouth bass on the ultralight setup.I'll edit this later after I battle a few fish with it, but for now I have no complaints and really like this rod.

I do have another rod and reel from this manufacturer and I was less than enthusiastic about the brand at that time. However, after having a chance to use this fishing pole, I am impressed. I plan to use this for bass or even pan fish as it's on the lighter side. What I like is that it's very sensitive...but so far, also quite strong for being such a lightweight pole. I may even take this to the beach (Gulf of MX) and could use this for smaller fish.I also really like the handle and grip. It's got a good feel to it and also looks great. Much better that the old cork handles from my youth. At any rate...I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this pole, especially since I didn't care for the other rod/reel I had gotten from Sougayilang. I can recommend this as a solid budget pole if you are looking for a nice, lightweight fishing rod.

This is a light, good looking rod. Fit and finish is good. In spite of its light weight, the rod is strong and casting control of medium weight lures is comfortable and sure. Haven't yet caught a fish with it, but expect that it will "fight above its weight." Looking forward to years of enjoyable use.
