I took this to Montana and used it once and had a pretty good experience. Took it out this past weekend and the tip section broke in half while casting light backing….I couldn’t believe it. Can anyone tell me how to buy that piece only. I feel like wasting a decent rod is awful.

Buy this for your first fly rod so when you get pissed of from trying to cast and whip it on the nearest rock you won’t cry that long.I liked the color so I wanted to try it. I’ve had many fly rods and this one is decent enough. It will work I guarantee you, but this is bottom of the trash cheap.

I’ve used $100-$200 rods and I’m sure that I’m not experienced enough to find the differences, but this rod feels great, everything stays together nicely and for under $40 it’s honestly awesome

For the price, this rod is great for beginners, or even a backup rod! The bit end is a little heavy at 3 3/8 oz. I also added a rubber O-ring between the two locking nuts so they dont come lose and lose the reel. Cork handle for good control, and grip. One thing I do not care for is the rod soc that the rod comes in is nylon. But it does have individual compartments for each rod section. Time qill tell if this rod can hold up for long term use.
