I recently asked a Yamaha Dealer if I was doing the correct thing by using these after market 10 micron filters instead of an OEM product. He said, "A 10 micron filter, is a 10 micron filter." I have used Sierra filters on two different boats for several years now. I change them regularly (as you should) and have experienced no problems. Good filter, good price. Save yourself a few bucks and try them out.
