'Flame-resistant' means when a spark(s) lands on the garment, the garment will extinguish itself (it wont continue to burn) and somethimes the spark can create a hole on the garment. Consider leather for full protection for applications that are more than light-duty welding, cutting, and grinding.

I had this thing 2 days and the arms where full of burn holes and then the holes ripped open more. I work welding dump truck beds. It did keep most of the sparks off me for about a day or so. For what I paid I thought it would last more then 2 days.

Dropped slag on my arm while welding and felt the heat but wasn’t burned. Did it’s job.

I've been using Tillman products for over 30 years being in the welding industry. They make great stuff. I really like the jacket because it's light and comfortable to work in.

I normally wear large shirts and jackets. If you plan on wearing clothing underneath or don’t want a snug fit by one size larger than what you normally wear.

I ordered this jacket thinking it was a Tillman as the description states. When it arrived, it was Best Welds brand- China. Decided to keep, looks like it will be serviceable.

Thick cloth. The sleeves have snaps to tighten the wrists to keep UV out and make the sleeves fit in gloves. This jacket is butt ugly, but it works.
