We added sheepskin covers and use it as a travel halter. Felt much more comfortable with this as it allowed for a breakaway option over the nylon travel halters.

I’m a horse person on a serious budget, so I didn’t have the ability to buy a $100 leather halter for halter classes. I like the Tough 1 brand for most things because a lot of their products are great quality and affordable. This one is gorgeous. I’m so glad I got it.

My horse likes to break halters occasionally, so I don't like to spend a lot on them. Normally I like Tough1 items but this is not up to quality. I had to tighten up the crown piece up as far as it would go to make it fit my horse, but I could not get the bottom of the strap down through the buckle. Even with pliers it either doesn't fit into the buckle width wise, or it's so stiff that it won't fold to pull down through the buckle.I gave it 2 stars because if you use it on the first couple of holes in the crown piece it works fine.

Super stiff and feels like it’s going to break in half if I move the leather or try to unbuckle which is very difficult as well

Bought this halter primarily for photos for my horses and think for the price, it was a good purchase. It's well made for the price and it looked great on my horses for their photo session. Will be using as needed for shows, etc.

Ordered this halter in black leather. The stitching is even mostly everywhere. The brass fittings are very rough and I injured my finger on the edge of the crown buckle. I'm going to have to sand it down so I don't injure myself again. Also it's very difficult to take apart. I'm currently soaking it in leather condotioner. Hoping that makes it more bare able to use. All in all not a great but but not the worst. For $30 is rather buy a better quality for $20 more though. I won't be sad when this one breaks. Added photos show some of the brass fittings that are rough
