About this item

  • Fits all current Mercury/Mariner outboards (with integral trim) and 1993 and newer Force outboards 40hp and higher utilizing Mercury style cables (with power trim).
  • Simultaneous Dual Engine: Single lever control / Dual Control. Furnished with single trim switch in handle for simultaneous; dual engine trim and trailering & fine tuning trim buttons in cover.
  • Installation Security Guidance:All installations require an Ignition/Choke assembly and Throttle/Shift (897978A) cables to complete the installation. Must be used with Gen 2 throttle/shift design
  • Warm up Button: Uses Teleflex CC189 / CCX189 cables or Mercury (897978A_), and push button for neutral engine warm up.
  • Low Corrosion: Low corrosion cover / handle uses with quicksilver Gen II cables.

Smooth Forward & Reverse

To shift into forward and reverse, rotate the control lever downward about 35°to the F side and R side, respectively. When the control lever is further rotated downward, the throttle opens.

Power Trim & Tilt Switch

The power trim and tilt switch is attached to the control lever grip and twin cover. Pushing it UP trims up and tilts up the engine and pushing it DOWN trims down and tilts down the engine.

Durable Control Cable

A handle mounted trim switch and a 2' trim harness. For non-power trim models.

Easy to Use

Furnished with single trim switch in handle for simultaneous dual engine trim and trailering & individual fine tuning trim buttons in cover.
