Fits my Sony a5100 kit lens (16-50mm) just fine. No issues. Most Sony E-mount lenses have 49mm front filter threads. This allows me to use a 49mm filter on the kit lens, which oddly comes with 40.5mm filter threads. No need to buy separate filters.

I got this step up ring adapter for my 16mm-50mm lens, because I have 55mm-210mm telephoto lens too, and this lens uses 49mm filters. So I can use 49mm filter or lens cover for both lenses. The 40.5mm lens cover is too small and does not stay on well.

The Good:- No metal slivers or other leftovers from manufacturing.- Fits on Sony Nex SEL 1650PZ lens with 40.5mm filter thread without problem.- Slim enough that does not seem to cause any additional vignetting.The Bad:-Careful when tightening it onto lens. This got stuck on mines and had to buy a filter wrench to be able to loosen it and remove.All in all does its job perfectly.
