About Weaver

Founded by Harry A. Weaver in 1973 as the Fryburg Shoe Shop, Weaver grew from humble beginnings into the trusted manufacturer of a wide range of leather and nylon goods it is today. In the beginning, Harry concentrated on shoe repair, but before long he recognized the potential to expand into other markets. The fledgling company began handcrafting leather horse and cattle halters. The popularity of these halters led to the manufacture of more and more items prompting Weaver to become a driving force across various industries including equine, livestock, leather supply, pet, arborist, tool gear and custom manufacturing.

It was too small to go around his nose and under his jaw

The leather is nice and supple and the bridle looks nice enough but the rope noseband is hard and feels like rawhide. It rubbed the hair off both my horses nose which explained his head tossing and fussing. Bought it for starting colts, but if it's going to make the bridle a sour experience then it's useless to me. Might as well go back to using halters.

This Sidepull is very cheaply made. The leather itself is fine, however the "rope" part of the sidepull is really greasy and hard. The ends of the rope where it was burned to keep from unraveling is stained brown, unlike the picture shown. Additionally, the sizing seems to run a bit small. I have an average sized quarter horse and I had to replace the chinstrap because it was way too tight. I would not reccomend this to someone, you'd be better off riding in a rope halter.
