I am originally from the NorthEast of the USA (4 hours NE of Boston) I have moved to the Atlanta area. It gets "chilly" here in late December and January. I am used to cold temps. 10 below F is no real big deal. I bought this hat to keep me warm and to stand out to other workers. It's almost too warm.

Love this hat, only problem I have had is this winter being unseasonably warm. The hat is too warm when the temps are in the 30’s, but is fantastic on the really cold days. I have a big head and the XL fits perfectly. Real fur is definitely the way to go.

We had a cold day in Colorado today, which was perfect to test out my new trapper hat. The hat kept my head nice and toasty, which is what it's supposed to do and it did it well. It's my first hat (or any clothing for that matter) with real fur. I've always shied away from fur products, but I made an exception with this purchase since it's rabbit fur, not an endangered species, and I'm assuming somebody ate the rabbit. In any event, the fur feels amazing against the skin and the hat is very comfortable overall. If my friends ask if it's real fur, I'll just lie, lol.I measured my head at 22.5" and the large fits me perfectly. The chin strap has a Velcro closure and I had no issues with my long hair or beard getting snagged by the Velcro. And the chin strap is just the right length. The color is "Brown-1".I would have preferred that the fur extended to the inside, top of the hat, but it does seem to be well insulated regardless. I'm looking forward to having this on my winter camping adventures. By the way, my dog is fascinated with this hat, so you may want to keep it out of the reach of your dog.
