While this is marketed to the tactically inclined, I found it surprisingly useful as an on-site tool vest for rigging days. MOLLE pouches fit Allen wrenches, radios, gaffer tape, even a Shure SM58 if you’re creative. Adjustable fit means I can throw it on over a hoodie or a sweaty t-shirt, depending on how long the load-in’s taken. Is it overkill for running a karaoke night? Yes. Is it oddly satisfying to walk into a dark venue like you’re prepping for recon? Also yes. Bonus: doubles as a solid Halloween costume base if you're doing an impromptu DJ+SWAT mashup set.

Good quality tactical vest made from 1200D nylon, so it's very rugged and durable. It has Molle webbing and is adjustable from 43" - 49" in chest. Plenty of pockets. Recommended👍

Okay let’s look at this XAEGISTAC Tactical Vest. The vest arrived promptly and was very well packed and presented, which created a feeling of a high-end product right from the start. Its design is definitely tactical, with a high-density 1200D nylon construction that feels robust and reliable. The fabric is wear-resistant and water-resistant, which is great for those looking for outdoor training gear that can withstand a range of conditions. The 3D air vent thermo pads are an upgrade from my previous vests that I definitely appreciated, as they make the vest cooler and more comfortable to wear, especially in hot and humid weather. Now let’s talk about real life experience with it.Putting the vest to use during my workouts and some casual gaming sessions, I found the one-click quick magnetic release feature extremely practical. The release is positioned on the front side at the center and once you press it it will unlock all four lock points on the shoulders and waist. This system allows for rapid deployment without sacrificing security, which is ideal for tactical use or just easy removal after a workout. In testing the quick release system, it works smoothly without catching or sticking, giving me confidence in its durability. The front and back plate carriers are durable, comfortable, and of a good size. The vest can easily accommodate 10x12 plates with no issues. The Velcro is thick and strong and will hold the plates securely. The MOLLE system across the front and back provides plenty of space for attaching pouches for magazines, first aid kits, or other essentials, making it highly customizable for different activities. However, the included pouches didn’t seem very secure; the bungee cords used to hold items in place felt flimsy, making it a bit cumbersome to put things in and take them out quickly. The adjustable straps on this vest cater to a wide range of body types. I found it easy to adjust to fit myself comfortably, even with my larger frame due to a diabetic belly. The fit is snug yet comfortable, thanks to the thoughtful design that distributes the weight efficiently across the body. The padded shoulder straps add to this comfort level. Now, the vest does not come with any (even foam) plates installed so you should bring your own. Put some Kevlar plates for better effectiveness, then you'll have a real deal in your hands. It is suitable for prolonged use with heavy plates and does not become uncomfortable after many hours of wearing it thanks to its excellent padding. It's perfect for all day use with plates, as well as "emergency" use. That being said, I have a couple of concerns. One minor issue I’ve encountered is that sometimes when you lock the magnetic buckets back together, they don’t lock-in securely and can disconnect. After some investigation I figured that a small piece of fabric was getting in between the lock halves preventing magnets from fully engaging. Once I got a hold of how to properly use these locks, I did not have any issues after. Overall, the XAEGISTAC tactical vest is a solid choice for anyone looking for a versatile, well-built tactical vest for training or gaming. Its durability, breathability, quick-release magnetic lock, and adjustable features make it a worthwhile investment. If you’re looking for a rugged, adjustable vest that provides good comfort and versatility, this one fits the bill. I really like it so far and will definitely keep it!Bottom line:The XAEGISTAC Tactical Vest impresses with its durable 1200D nylon build, excellent breathability via 3D air vent thermo pads, and a highly functional quick-release magnetic system for easy removal. It securely holds 10x12 plates, offers a strong MOLLE system for customization, and provides a comfortable fit even for larger body types. While the included pouches feel flimsy and the magnetic locks need careful engagement, the vest remains a solid, versatile choice for training or gaming. Just add your own plates, and you're good to go! Solid 5-star product, highly recommended!Pros:1. Durable - Made from tough 1200D nylon.2. Breathable - 3D air vent pads keep it cool.3. Quick-Release - Magnetic system allows fast removal.4. Adjustable Fit - Works for various body types.5. Secure Plate Carrier - Holds 10x12 plates firmly.6. MOLLE System - Plenty of space for attachments.7. Padded Straps - Adds comfort for long wear.Cons:1. No Plates Included - Must buy separately.2. Weak Pouches - Bungee cords feel flimsy.3. Locking Issue - Fabric can interfere with the magnetic lock.

So what do I mean by that? Exactly what I said. The application of this plate carrier will determine if its actually any good or not. Are you using it for exercise? Airsoft? Then yes this thing is good enough. However given the price tag on it. You may find something that is good for EVERYTHING and not just a non-need actual plate carrier to protect me in a SHTF situation. If youre looking for a real plate carrier, this aint it. It is bulky, it is clunky and does not conform to the body what so ever. The "memory foam" lining is a bit of a joke and it will get HOT. This thing will not breathe at all. Also the cummerbund adjustments are in the back of the carrier....the back. Good luck, quickly making size adjustment. The magnetic clasps seem strong enough when I first tugged on them like really really hard. However after employing the full quick release system they went back together but then released really really easy a few times. I dont know if theyre just rubbish or you just gotta hit that sucker juuuuuuuust right. The plate pockets are kind of the standard velcro sealed with internal flap and strap design, nothing really to comment on there. Given the price tag and how bad it actually is if this is intended for anything serious, hard pass. If its for airsofting or crossfitting, sure why not but again there are better options available that are comparable in price.

I picked up this vest with the intent of running AR500 Level 3+ plates, and while they technically fit, it's definitely a tight squeeze. Once the plates are in, the fit feels snug in a way that makes you double-check everything just to be sure it's not stressing the seams. It's functional, but it's right on the edge of what I'd call an ideal fit for heavier plates. The quick-release system is a cool idea in theory, and I appreciate the convenience it offers in emergencies, but I can’t help wondering what happens if you take a hit right to the center where the release mechanism sits. That’s not exactly confidence-inspiring, especially in a setup that’s supposed to keep everything secure when things get real. Also, when the vest is loaded up, that slick magnetic clasp can get a little fiddly to lock back in place. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to be aware of if you're planning to gear up quickly and often. On the bright side, the material feels tough and durable. It’s built to take abuse and has held up well through training and outdoor use. The MOLLE setup is great—lots of room for customization, and the adjustability means you can dial in the fit pretty well. Still, despite all the solid features, that center release mechanism feels like the one thing keeping this from being a truly dependable piece of gear.

I'm 5'2" and I weigh 102 pounds. Surprisingly, this vest was fully adjustable and fit me very well. I still had gaps on my sides but overall it fit me good. I was able to wear it to my gun club outdoor shooting day at the outdoor range. It held all of magazines, my emergency tac med kit, and had plenty of molle webbing for everything.
