Was simple to install have used it 5 or 6 times without issue. Snowblower had nor drive power before, this fixed the issue.

My machine only has 2 bolts that hold the gearcase cover on. Just tip the machine up on the front after being sure the oil dipstick tube is on tight. I put a couple paper towel into a sandwich bag and slipped it over the oil check tube even though it was good and tight. Aver removing the cover and applying the shop vac if needed, look at this part for scuffs and damage. It only takes a couple days to arrive and 5 more bolts to R&R the part - unless your machine is older and not the same as mine. ;)

While I have not installed it yet it appears to be of good quality compared to other third party Snapper parts I have purchased for my Snapper mowers. It's the same size and will fit once I swap them out. I've purchased my fair share of unknown third party Snapper parts and most do the job for considerably less than OEM. I'll update my review if the part fails early or does not meet expectations.

I have not installed and used this replacement drive disc yet and probably will not for several months as my snowblower's existing drive disc still has some life remaining so I can't speak to this item's longevity or effectiveness so this initial review centers around the construction and appearance only...This disc appears to be identical in size and similar in construction to the original disc on my Ariens 921044 Deluxe 28 SHO snowblower. The steel portion of the disc is well machined without any visible defects. The friction material appears to be evenly applied however, there are blotches of excess material spattered on the body of the disc that would lead me to believe that the QA process was lacking during final inspection as I feel this item should never have left the factory in this condition. That said, I don't believe the spattered material will effect the functionality of the disc and is simply an asthetics issue.Until I have replaced the disc and had it in operation, my initial review of this item rates it as a "4", with one star deducted for the poor QA process allowing this item to ship out to a customer. I will update this review once I've installed and used it.
