This was purchased as a replacement for a set that was accidently broken on Christmas Eve. The price was awesome and it was shipped quickly and I was able to enjoy it for a few days before my village was packed away until next Christmas.

My husband has been collecting the Dept. 56 Dickens Village for close to 15 years, and none of the pieces had ever met with an accident until last year. When he unpacked the pieces to set up his Christmas display, his Chimney Sweep had gotten broken. I was concerned that we wouldn't be able to replace it with a new piece. But thanks to Amazon, as always, we found it, and I was able to give it to him as a little surprise at Christmas. Thanks Amazon for adding a little more "merry" to our Christmas decor! Shipped quickly and it arrived in perfect condition. The set is intricately designed, beautifully made and a must have for any Dept. 56 Dickens collection. I don't think anyone would mistake this as a toy, but the rating system above did list it that way. It is not a toy, but a valuable Dickens collector piece that is to be treated with care. All these pieces are fragile and should be treated as such.
