Perfect fit from gas more to diesel engine conversion

I am doing a repower of an old case tractor. The onan motor had a 1-1/8 shaft. The new motor has a 1" shaft and rather than buying a new lovejoy coupler I figured I would try a shaft adapter. This adapter is to tight on the shaft of the new motor and the lovejoy has a slight amount of play. I can make the adapter work but it is definitely not plug and play. I would try one of the many other adapters before recommending this one but it will work with some finessing.
