Perfect for turning, sanding spindles, pens, detail work, small projects and much more. The strips are easily wrapped around objects for better detail work or for more aggressive sanding. I would like a little more flexibility

First, it is a solid metal case which is solid. The front has the grits engraved but they are hard to see so I will probably use some paint to fill those in so they can be clearly read. A problem is the cheap dividers, just thin pieces of cardboard between grits that flop or bend easily. The metal edge allows easy ripping off of strips but the whole is narrow and tight which requires some force to work the paper through. The center roll is a thick carboard that seems like it will stand up to use fairly well. The sandpaper rolls are all different sizes so it is impossible to say how much I got of any one roll. One roll in the middle is too large and barely fits into the case while others are so small I wonder if I get the advertised amount. Only 1 roll was clearly labeled as to what grit it is so I can't even verify that the grits are in the correct order.Overall I do like the case. I will likely make new dividers out of thin MDF, plywood or wood to keep the rolls aligned with their slots. You could use either mesh rolls or regular sandpaper rolls with this case.

As the ad states, it is indeed flexible, but no more remarkable in its pliability than any ol' 600g sandpaper in the same size. To its credit, the turner's mesh seems to last slightly longer than most aluminum oxide 600g rolls would, as long as you don't let too much heat build up.That brings me to the reason I won't purchase this again. See the blue lettering in the picture? It comes off easily, and adheres to the piece you're working on. It doesn't matter whether it's wood, acrylic, poly resin, or even tru-stone; once you get a line of blue, you might as well put it away long enough to rectify the problem with a lower grit abrasive, and hope it doesn't whittle away too much of the material before you finally get the line to seek mischief elsewhere. This would be a much finer product without the gummy lettering.
