The unit is as described however I have a couple complaints. One is no instructions. All though it's mostly self explanatory for novice to advanced users, if you don't have much electrical experience it could be difficult. Second is the control wire clip on unit side detached from circuit board on both units I bought.4/6 - The control 4 pin lead I have found to be too short. I clipped and lengthened to a more desirable length however, now neither of the digital displays work. (I bought two units)

This is the cats meow, it allows us to control heating elements in our distillery and so far so good. We never run it at max capacity , tops 9000. we also put an oversize small fan to ensure the temps do not get out of control!

Only used it 6 times so far but working flawlessly. I added a computer fan to dissipate any heat that occurs on the heatsink on the initial boil up. I knock it back to 50% to maintain the boil and no perceptible heat felt on the heatsink. Works Great!

I used it once and it was flawless. The second time I tried it blew the breaker and quit functioning completely. Back to the drawing board.

The plastic socket for the display was smashed, not because of the shipper, but because of the way the two parts of the device were packaged by the manufacturer. I was able to remove the broken pieces of the socket and bend the pins in order to make the unit work, but when I put the display legend film on the display there was no accommodation for the extended switches. The film glued itself to the switches and held them both depressed. I had to cut out around the switches and remove the film in order to make it work. In addition, no instructions or spec sheet, i.e. load parameters, current limitations, etc.

I used this to control a water heater element at 120V, and it's so far worked flawlessly. I have a voltage display and the adjustment seems linear. I am very impressed.

used this to control a 6500 watt 220v heating element on a still which requires precise temp control without on/off style controllers. it works great!
