This item is shipped from China. During delivery, the shipper noted that it was undeliverable and was returned to sender. I tried to contact Amazon to get my money back but they said that I needed to contact the seller first. I sent a text to the seller and they said that the undeliverable message was a mistake, the item was still on its way and not to worry. After a couple of more days, I contacted Amazon.Firstly, it is very difficult to contact a real Amazon customer service representative without first wasting a lot of time on the helpbot that is only able to help with common problems and will send you to endless loops as you inquire that your problem is not one that is listed. Only with the help of another user was I able to find the help number and contact Amazon directly. Their protocol is to also send a message to the seller and then to wait some more.Well, today in the mail, the ebony wood dowels I ordered arrived. The quality is only ok as almost all of them have some kind of defect in them - discoloring, chips, small gouges. I will be using them to repair the necks of cellos so the finish doesn't matter too much but if they will be exposed in your application, beware that they all look like seconds and every dowel will have some kind of defect.I rate the seller as 4 stars, the product 3 stars, the shipping company a 2, the Amazon help-bot a 1 and the actual customer service representative I was able to finally contact a 4. Hope this helps.
