This tape sucks! Ease of tear is horrible.

This clear tape is very reasonably priced and performs as promised. It is ideal for daily duties like gift wrapping, label protection, and sealing lightweight goods because of its glossy texture and strong holding power. The tape feeds nicely and the rolls are a handy size, but be sure your dispenser can handle the 1-inch core size. It hasn't failed me down in the minor home projects or office work I've done with it. It may not be ultra-premium, but it lasts a long time and works consistently. This tape is a wise purchase if you're searching for a reliable, reasonably priced solution. Without a doubt, I'll keep it in my supply drawer.

This is definitely a high gloss tape! Glossier than I expected even knowing it was glossy, and as a result looks a bit cheap. While technically transparent, there is a good amount of streak marks that make it look even cheaper and even dirty. Additionally, each roll is quite small. They are larger than a brand new roll of Target's generic brand tape ($1.33 per dispenser) so kudos there, but they are roughly the same size as my used Scotch brand tape roll...that is to say, they must be only around ¾ or even half of a Scotch brand roll.Being a good deal cheaper than the name brand, these are a decent value if you can overlook the issues and the reduced size per roll. It is not, however, cheap enough to justify buying it for its cheapness alone. (As an aside, you can find this exact same product with nearly identical product images for cheaper on Ali. Just FYI.)For one, it is only really mildly sticky. It'll stick to papers, but if you lift the taped object up at all, it will come up with almost no resistance. This might be nice if you only want to tape something in the very short term, but this simply would not hold up to long-term use. I suspect it would barely last a day, if even that, assuming you're taping stationery and not fiddling with it. I don't expect this to work for anything even remotely heavy duty.For another, it does not cut cleanly. I have tried it on two different tape dispensers, both of which have no problem cutting Scotch tape, and it simply will not have a clean edge.Lastly, as it is a glossy tape, you can't really write on it easily. Pen will not work, and even Sharpie will rub off very easily. This frankly sucks if you use tape for documents and specifically need that functionality. I've included a photo of a writing test using a black and silver Sharpie as well as a ballpoint pen, plus the results from rubbing a finger along the tape after waiting 15 minutes. Pen doesn't really survive a good rub on any of them (of course), but you can feasibly write on magic tape with a permanent marker/Sharpie and expect it to stay on for some time. You straight up cannot write on this tape, even with a permanent marker, and expect it to be there long-term.Since I've only just received it today, I have no idea yet if it will yellow with time or whether all the rolls will survive and not dry up before I get to finishing the pack. But that is another concern I have given the general quality of this tape.Most of the reviews here are for products received as part of a review program, so imo the reviews are artificially inflated. This is not a 5 star tape, simple as. This tape works, keeping in mind its shortcomings, and I'll be keeping it because it's cheap and handy for random tasks around the house. But I wouldn't recommend it if you use it for documents, anything that needs to be visually presentable, or anything that needs a strong adhesion (i.e. bandages, sealing something *well*). They recommend using it for mending documents and gift wrapping, and realistically I would only use it for the latter. It is technically transparent but being such high gloss, it will be visible on scanned documents and you cannot write on them. I honestly would hesitate to use this for nicer gifts as well given how cheap it looks. It's very difficult to recommend this tape given all of those issues, even if it is relatively cheap.PROS+ technically does function as tape (see caveats below)+ glossy (which some people prefer)+ relatively cheapCONS- easy to remove/not very sticky (sucks for anything long-term or needing stronger adhesion)- highly glossy, which makes it look cheap and is also a fingerprint magnet- can't write on it! Sharpie will come right off- doesn't cut cleanly, even with a decent tape dispenser- comes with less on the roll than a full roll of Scotch name brand tape- streaky as heck, not fully clear or transparent

Nice standard tape, perfect for office or home use. I always seem to be out of tape when I need it, I am glad I ordered these refill rolls, they are very convenient specially if you have kids that love working on scrap books.

Works well as a standard tape product. 60 feet of tape per roll. $8 for the set is a nice price. I keep a roll of tape in various places for the convenience. I would recommend this product. The tape is clear and just sticky enough. Comparable to any decent off brand clear tape.
