I picked this up because most of my torque wrenches are old and have been misused over time. Needed something that could cover 1/2", 3/8", and 1/4", and this adapter did just that. It’s simple to set up, and the display is clear and easy to read. You just dial in your desired torque, and as you get close, you get both a visual and audible alert, which takes the guesswork out of it.So far, it’s been working great. No complaints. The accuracy seems right, and it included everything I needed besides two AAA batteries. It does add a little bulk to the wrench, but that’s expected for an adapter like this.If you’re looking to replace multiple torque wrenches with one tool, this is a good option. Definitely happy with it.

I'm pretty impressed with this unit. First, it seems accurate as compared to my click torque wrench. That's not a high bar, but it's all I've got.You can set a target torque. As you get close to the target value, the adapter lights up and starts beeping. When you get there, it changes color and the beep becomes constant. There are 10 memory settings for the target that can be cycled through with the "M" button on the adapter. The adapter can display in Nm, in-lb, ft-lb, and kg-cm, but that's just a universal display setting. You can't have one preset be in Nm and another in ft-lbs. You can set them that way, but it won't automatically change the display units when you choose the preset. The torque adapter has two modes: track and peak. The difference is that the track mode always shows you the currently applied torque (or the target if there's no torque being applied), while the peak shows the maximum torque reached. In peak mode, once you reach the target and release the torque, after a second or two, the adapter will beep, which indicates that it has saved the peak torque. You have to reach or exceed the target, though. If you have it set for 10ft-lbs and you got to 9.9ft-lbs, it won't save it. You can then review the recorded peaks by pressing and holding the "U" and down buttons. It does not separate the recorded peaks by preset, and it does not record the target torque along with the peak. The manual has a few errors. It references a non-existent "D" button instead of "U" for the saved peak torque mode. It says to switch between modes you have to hold "U" and the use the up and down buttons to select modes. In reality, holding down "U" just toggles the mode. The adapter needs two AAA batteries, which are not included. It does come with a blow-molded case, which holds the included ½"-to-⅜" and ½"-to-¼" socket adapters. It also has a space for the two AAA batteries. It also holds the included stubby Phillips #1 screwdriver that can be used to unscrew the battery compartment. (Who is in the market for a torque adapter but doesn't have a screwdriver?!?)I think my only critiques are for the manual. This seems like a pretty solid torque adapter.
