It's a tad expensive, but Spectra is super strong and UV resistant. It has breaking strength of 400 lbs!

We used this in place of the white string in window blinds. The string kept breaking and replacing it took forever. This stuff looks the same, is the same thickness, but will never break. I’ve fixed and re-string those window blinds for the last time.

Learn to tie proper knots when using this material other than that the line is beyond super.

It won’t even come out, almost took an arrow to the face using this crap. Mega mouth reel and this line won’t come out without twisting. Pure trash.

Using to repair the window balancers on Andersen windows. Works very well.

seems to be delivered as promised. Untested so far. About the width of normal cotton string, not the ultra-skinny kite string. Reasonable.

Like most kayak rudders, mine uses braided steel cable for connections between the foot pedals and the rudder mechanism. This is stupid because steel cable rusts - I've had both sides fail on me at the absolute worst times. I read online about one person replacing his rudder cables with Dyneema cord because it doesn't stretch, has high strength, and is abrasion resistant (which steel cable is not!). Spectra was really similar, and this product was the diameter/length I needed. I'm very happy! It's much thinner than the steel cable I had, so threading it through the cable housing was easy. 30 feet was just right for re-doing a 14' kayak.I took the kayak for two trips - one 35 mile, 4 day fresh/flatwater trip, and one 13 mile saltwater/sea trip. The cable held up great and I had no worries. I used my rudder a lot, which causes significant rubbing of the ends which attach to the rudder side. I don't see any signs of abrasion. I bought a second spool to carry in my gear in case it fails, and carry in my wallet in case I need it for something. Overall very happy, I'll be recommending this to any friends with steel cable kayak rudders.

This is it.I have replaced my bear line with this.It weighs almost nothing. It is strong. It can not get wet(does not absorb water). It is more than strong enough to hold a food bag and your pack.It is small in diameter, but does not cut into your skin. Also if you have ever felt a steel cable this is much easier on your hands for sure.I even keep an extra 30 feet in my bag,it weighs less than an ounce.Amazing cordage.
