I like the way this works for my pneumatic horn. It allowed me to mount the switch remotely when used with push to fit adapters. If anything goes wrong with it I don't have to remove the horns to work on it. That's a really nice feature. Price was right too.

The solenoid on the version I used operates on 24V and was easily controllable with a wireless remote for Halloween and other props. This model is setup for 1/4" fittings. Overall this solenoid performed exactly as intended and should work for any other solution needing a compatible solenoid.

I would like to preface this review with this statement; “I do not order items that I do not intend to use myself or install myself for someone else.” Having said that; I decided rather than do an “out of the box” type review I would put this item in to service for some time to really get a sense of what it was. This is what I found out; this valve is a solid unit that does the job. My usage is to activate a small air cylinder to release a spring return pin. It is used at least 10 times a standard work day and I have not had a failure to operate at all.MAKE SURE you observe the indicated air flow direction or you WILL have a leak. I had to reposition the solenoid actuator to prevent air line to electrical supply interference. This made my particular install a bit awkward for the electrical. This was MY fault because I did not pay attention to all of the configurations this valve comes in.Overall this is an excellent valve for its price point and I do recommend it.

I ordered this valve to automate wine bottling and wine transferring using vacuum. I have a manually operated 3 port/2 way valve and wanted a solenoid operated version. Not being an expert in pneumatic valves, I overlooked the minimum air pressure (0.15MPa) spec and the "pilot operated" term in the description. This valve requires that minimum air pressure on port P to operate, which in my vacuum case, I can't provide. I did confirm that the solenoid operates to the listed specs of voltage and current and the ports really are 1/8" NPT and not a close approximation. I also note that this valve doesn't take a lot of power, only 3W (250mA at 12V), which is easy to provide from a wall wart supply.

It is pretty well built and looks nice. I haven't had a chance to wire it up to ensure everything works as expected, but by looks it seems like most of the solenoids. The one thing I was a bit disappointed with is that it didn't come with mufflers. A lot of the ones I've gotten in the past come with them.

I haven't permanently installed this solenoid yet, but I did hook it up to an existing set-up and it is working exactly as expected.I used these for pneumatic-powered low pressure Halloween props. In my set-up, I tested this solenoid at 40psi in connected to an electronic controller with with a motion sensor. The solenoid performed perfectly, so I am confident it will work exactly as I'd like for a future prop.Fairly priced and works as expected. Easy to recommend.
