These are perfect for a new construction build, especially if they will be exposed as the black color makes them more visually appealing than the typical galvanized options. They appear to match the quality of the standard ties available at the local home improvement store outside of the nail pattern.I haven't had any issues with them yet.Until We Meet Again-Off The Grid Ken

These are really nice looking holders. I think some builders try to build in a way that these aren't exposed, but if you are keeping them exposed then these are going to not be nearly as much of an eyesore as the plain galvanized metal ones are. The quality is good as well, and seem to be just as good or better than what you can find at the local big box store. Happy to recommend.

These brackets are perfect and for the price, they're amazing. I only mention knowing what you're doing because these are more than adequate to hold a beam and not give out on you as long as you aren't trying to run an excessively long beam or putting a wider plank in there than you should be. They secure very well with all the screw holes and will maintain their hold on anything that a builder would attempt to do with them. They are not excessively strong, but you probably shouldn't be putting anything in them that is excessively pushing them in the first place. Great product at a very good price for how many you are getting.

These are strong (so far) and good looking without sharp edges. It nice to be able to order so many in one package.

Great looking hardware pieces with the black powder coating. These are still listed as galvanized so I'm happy to see that. The sizing and fitment for 2x's is perfect measuring at 1 11/16" wide and the plate base is right at 4". The thickness of the steel is equal to any other ties I've used before. These are well made brackets and look good for mounting in places they will be seen.

These are the nicest hurricane ties I've ever used. They are thicker than the silver ones I've been using and they look fantastic. I live in Florida and been through a number of hurricanes in the 25 years I've been here and by the way things have been going lately, I'm sure I'll be going through a few more. Everything I build with a roof gets these ties. The barn extensions, the well house, the chicken coop, the chicken coop extension (for when I have to keep them locked up during hurricanes) and the covered not quite a gazebo shelter. I feel guilty using these on the barn, they should be used on fancy pergolas and gazebos - they look that good.

I have a deck project coming up in the next several weeks. I will be using these joist hangers for that project. I am very impressed by these joist hangers. These are much thicker and stronger than the ones I usually buy in the big box store. These are also black powder coated instead of the over obvious silver ones you commonly see. These are precision made and measure exactly as they should for common 2-by lumber. The drilled holes are perfect for deck screws. I do not live in a hurricane area, but these are so strong that I am sure they would hold up regardless of the weather.
