I wanted the perfect glow , Im doing the packing tape ghost for halloween decoration and I thought this ice be will be perfect and it is. It's much brighter in darker conditions and the strip is lightweight and flexible. Battery operated and bright. I know this is going to work perfectly. It's true 3ft long too. NO adhesive in backside of strip just noting that

Very nice EL panel. the color is vibrant and eye catching. It takes two AA batteries and has 3 modes. On solid, Fast flash, and Slow flash. Very nice and easy to use. Can be trimmed to fit the space you need. Really makes an impact.

This electroluminescent (EL) strip is similar to other products on the market. It is powered by a AA battery pack with a clip so that you can wear it. The length is about 3 feet. All the modes work -- solid, slow flashing, long flashing. It's easy to use.The EL strip may not seem that bright in a normally lit room, but that's not a the fault of this product. That's just the nature of EL lighting. You will see it glowing in a normally lit room but it won't really stand out unless you're in a darkened location. EL really only provides accent lighting. EL strips don't emit enough light to light up a dark location. You can't use them for kitchen counter lighting, for example. EL isn't really great for that. This EL strip is best for decor and costumes and cosplay, especially since the length is only 3 feet.The battery pack emits a very high pitched sound that you might hear. It's not super loud but if you're wearing the device you'll probably notice. The battery pack also gets hot after a while, but not so hot that you'll hurt yourself.So this EL strip meets my expectations, except I can find similar products for half the price elsewhere on Amazon. It pays to shop around.

When I first opened the packaged, I was shocked because the strip looked pink. I really wanted a blue light. Once I got the batteries in it and turned it on, it is definitely a pale ice blue. One thing to note, this is fairly stiff strip that comes coiled. I guess if you wanted it straight, you could tape it down flat for a while, but it is not something you can loosely coil or turn back on itself. It really wants to make a full 360 turn, or lay flat. No wavy, wobbly line and it would not fit in the tubing I was using without bending it a little, so I don't know if that will compromise the light. Hopefully, I can get a slightly wider length of tubing that the strip will fit in. The color is good. Pale ice blue.

El Wire and El-Tape are cool, but they never got super popular because the power supplies make a high pitch whining noise when they are on.This generation has improved the whine, but it's still there.The effect is subtle but it's cool, which is why a lot of costume makers and cosplay people use it... you get a unique look with some wow for a decent price.The Power supply uses 2AA batteries and has a single button with 3 modes. On, flashing and annoying flashing.If you are using it for costuming, you can help diminish the whine using a foam case and putting it on the far end of your construction.Mine was delaminating from it's protective cover, if yours does, you can use a tiny bit of clear drying glue on the edge.You can't cut this to length; doing so will break the circuit, so you'll have to get creative. It's sort of medium-durable, treat it with care.

It can be bent and cut and designed in the way you need, maybe using it for running or on your bike as you only need a couple double a batteries to make it work, it's very light, but not very bright. Use it for a costume or with a hat, it's just one color.

Yes - it can be cut to a shorter length. No, it can't be reconnected. So you just end up with one shorter light strip.Yes - it can bend around corners. But, only outside corners (like around a tube.) You can not shape it on a flat surface. Think trying to lay a ribbon flat on a flat table and then bending it in a circle. Doesn't work.Yes - the color is rather pleasing. No, you can't change the color. What you order is what you get.Yes - it runs on two AA batteries. And yes, you get to go buy them yourself.Might be worth considering if you have one long flat surface you want to put a strip of light on. Otherwise...underwhelming.
