I keep my axes VERY sharp.I made a misstep the other day and my razor; sorry my axe cut my heel. If I had had this on my axe I would not have been cut.Well made.Wish I'd gotten it sooner.

The sheath strap was too long to stay on my hammer hatchet so I took it to a sewer to put another snap shorter on the strap for me.

This leather sheath is a good product, however, it did not securely fit the ax handle. I was able to attach another snap in a different location of the strap to make it work.

Tough material for cheap also fits most of my axes well despite different blade designs.

It's a simple enough thing, right? But it shows up reeking of really strong mold - that stunk up my hands where I opened it and touched the thin, desiccated leather. I had to wash my hands 4 times to get the smell off them after I put it back in the envelope to return it. The kitchen smelled bad where I had opened the envelope. When it took it to the return center, my CAR smelled bad from it. It was a cheap piece of leather that was stored improperly before or after manufacture, and spent time someplace where it sprouted a particularly virulent mold. The photos looked nice in the ad, but it was gross and fragile.
