It is what it says it is -- a small, spinning top. Description says it is made of iron. I guess sheet metal is made of iron. This is rather thin. Like other reviewers said, it is not like the spinning tops of yesteryear. it is small, but an OK size for a toddler. Our little "wreck-it Ralph" figured it out rather quickly. It does make a sound when it spinning, and it spins quite well on a hard surface.

Poor quality for price! Much smaller and lighter weight than expected. Will not give as gift to my grandchild. A waste of money.
