I’ve been using the RCA/S-Video to HDMI Converter to connect some older devices to a modern TV, and it works surprisingly well. Setup was simple—just plug in the cables, and the signal converts instantly without noticeable lag. The picture quality is much better than expected for older consoles and VHS tapes, and the integrated RCA and S-Video inputs make it really versatile. It handles both PAL and NTSC formats without issues. Overall, it's a solid solution for anyone looking to bring vintage media back to life on an HDMI display.

Bought for our cabin up north. Only was used about 6-8 days. Started watching a movie on a DVD and it kept freezing, I got up and got close to the TV and I could hear a little static. I switched the TV source, static disappeared, switched the HDMI cable, powered off the switch and the TV. Still static and picture still freezes.Big waste of $$. I’d give a negative star if I could

I was looking for a reliable video input switcher. One that wouldn't flash randomly during playback. This one right here popped up and not only does it have 3 HDMI ports but it also comes with two AV composite cable slots as well. With the bonus feature of having a 16x9 or 4x3 option two for the analog video. Just in case the TV wants to stretch my retro full screen systems. Just blasphemy to play a game stretched. The unit itself is really well made. Hefty metal build and comes with all the material you will need to get set up. And HDMI cable, a power cable and actually the power adapter which you almost never see with products these days. Plus there's a remote and it actually takes real batteries and not those odd drugstore type ones that you know you'll never find another variation of it again for the right price. This one here even comes with AAA batteries to top off the whole experience. Then it also has a cool little IR sensor so if you have this unit tucked behind your TV you can still easily use the remote with it.Everything about this design is solid just all around. And it works fantastically too. The picture quality always comes through just as vibrated as it should. I never have seen any flashing or issues switching between inputs. I like how each port has its own button to switch through. Along with a solid power button too. And if I want to of course I can just use a remote easily enough.I've got two PCs hooked up to this and my Nintendo Switch on the HDMI ports. Then I've used the two AV slots the plug in my Super Nintendo, my N64, and Sega Dreamcast. Just the name of a few retro systems. They come through the HDMI input as is and what I like to use to bring the picture quality up is an MClassic Adapter. That will double the resolution for those systems. But even still, if you have some retro technology that you want to run through your HDMI for it. This totally does the job right. Now I haven't found anything wrong with this unit or anything that doesn't work properly. One thing that would make it the ultimate video switcher is if one of the ports for the AV was a component input. That would be perfect for video game systems like PS2, GameCube / Wii, and the Xbox Original. But that is just a minor wish. I do have a converter if need be already. But that would definitely make it an all-in-one device. And just for an ultimate bonus, if one of the AV ports had an S Video just for the best picture quality of a laserdisc or Super Nintendo. That would be the icing on the cake. So if there's ever an update on this product that would be the thing to add in.But overall, if you have one of those modern TVs that just has no extra ports on it. This will solve the job of getting you multiple HDMIs and then allowing you to plug in two extra retro devices with the AV ports. Solid design, easy to use, and literally plug and play. Very happy with this.

This is great, so much better than having to put in 6 individual converters!

My primary application for this product is to convert my old VHS tapes into digital format and store them on hard drives and in the cloud. As is widely known, the video quality recorded on magnetic tapes deteriorates over time.In my case, I require an additional device to stream HDMI to USB, enabling me to transfer the video to a personal computer.According to Amazon, the brand of this product is Arector, but the brand name is not found anywhere on the product, packaging box, or included documentation. It is likely that the manufacturer distributes the product to various companies that market it under different brand names. This practice is not inherently problematic. The product is advertised as compatible with PAL/NTSC, TV/PC, PS1/PS2/STB/Xbox/VHS/VCR/DVD formats. I have tested it connected to a SVHS tape player, utilizing either composite video or S-Video for the video signal. The HDMI output resolution can be set to 1024P or 720P via a mechanical switch located on the product’s side. This product is designed to be Plug & Play. Simply power it using the included USB power adapter and the included micro USB to USB-A cable, connect it to a video source via RCA composite or S-Video interface, and that’s it! No additional setup is necessary.- Previously, my setup consisted of the SoundBeast AV2HDMI 2.0, AV to HDMI Converter & Recorder, and the Elgato HD60 X, HDMI to USB streaming unit.I have recently replaced the SoundBeast with the Arector RCA to HDMI converter. The video converted by SoundBeast exhibited slight noise or video conversion issues at the bottom of the screen. This may be attributed to the specific unit I own. After switching to the Arector converter, the noise was eliminated, resulting in extremely clear and visually appealing video. The video quality has improved, with sharper images and enhanced color saturation, particularly when utilizing the S-Video interface. This does not imply that the SoundBeast product is inferior. I have successfully converted numerous VHS tapes using it, and it has consistently performed well.In comparison to SoundBeast, the Arector product is significantly more affordable, offering superior performance.I am highly satisfied with Arector and would strongly recommend it to individuals seeking an affordable and high-quality Composite/S-Video to HDMI converter.
