I used this controller to regulate the speed of a 24 watt PC fan. It works well for this application. I used another brand controller which burnt up in short order. Not this one!This is a PWM controller which are much more efficient than linear regulators. They produce little heat for the load. As can be seen in my photo it uses large heatsinks and large filter capacitors to provide robust clean power. It is also nice that the fuse is in a proper holder.It's a nice controller for the price. I would buy it again.

Amazon delivered quickly, as usual. Both units tested very well! I bought them for a pair of very powerful, high speed Delta 93mm fans I purchased here, and the fans work very well with these speed controllers. No ticking noises or any strange behaviour. Only one little problem. The information included in the listing was as good as any of the other listings for this device, but just like all the others listed at Amazon, they haven't said a word about the 3-pin connector located by the fuse. I have to seperate the potentiometer from the PCB so I can fit the unit in the case I'm going to use. I ohmed the traces with my meter and, sure enough, the 3 pins are directly connected to the pot, so I know that it is do-able. I just need to know the tech data on that connector. Hence, I have submitted the first question for this listing.Over all, I am very satisfied with this purchase, and highly recommended it!
