I purchased this tool over one that cost less because the ad claimed the depth of the tool was 2" deeper in depth then most, claiming it is 5" deep as opossed to only 3" deep. The large tool is only 3" deep, not 5" like they claim.

The quality seems very good considering the price I paid. Seems well built and I'm looking forward to using it. My only negative is that it seems tight. But really, I'd hate it if it were loose. Good purchase.

Super accurate and easy to use. Also, it has a lock at the end that keeps the shape. At first I was skeptical about this product; but after I received it, I can say it’s an essential tools for everyone. Also, it comes in 2 different sizes to cover any kind of measurements even on a really tight space.

This product is pretty straightforward. The concept of a contour gauge is useful, but for specific circumstances and is definitely not something you are going to use for every project. This product is a good option for those working with recreating odd angles or shapes with their woodworking. The product is made almost entirely from plastic (except for the locking mechanism) and comes with the 5" and 10" variety. I found that they perform as well as any other contour gauge I have used with easy sliding and solid fixation when locked in place. Similar to most other contour gauges, I found the need to use a finger or pen to compress the contour gauge anywhere there were small corners or cracks as they did not always fill the small spaces. This is easily managed with simple attention to detail and did not negatively effect any of my projects.Bottom line, if you are looking for a good contour gauge that is easy on the budget, look no further.

These work great! They are super easy to use, and the fact that there are two in the pack makes them even better. I can use the smaller one for smaller projects and not have to deal with the larger one when it is awkward to do so, but I also bathe larger one for larger projects. The larger one is wonderful as well, only would be awkward if trying to use it for tiny projects which you don’t have to since it comes with the smaller one anyway.I also love the locks on them! They are super easy to use so you don’t have to worry about bumping and changing your shape.

we are selling our home this month and like many households that have been lived in there and dings and repairs that are needed to get the home "showroom ready". this tool was my savior! i needed to create templates to fix recreate sections of custom base boards. I was scratching my head on how i was going to do this.... until i found the tool!! with ease i was able to recreate the unique shape of the baseboards and get to work. I have also used the tool for flooring to ensure a snug fit in funny angles and odd contours.this is a true must at an unbelievable price! one of my favorite tools in my kit

Contour guides are great tools to have in your toolbox. I have one that purchased from Home Depot with the metal teeth, which is great for showing detail, but because it's metal, it can scratch the surface of what you are contouring, and the metal rods are very thin and can be easily bent, and there is no good way to protect it from damage. These are plastic, and very forgiving. I love that you get two sizes, and that they lock to keep your contour steady while you trace your shape. The fact that they are plastic, and wider individual pieces than the metal one, means you don't get as much detail, but so far, what I have needed it for, it has been more than adequate. I would recommend.

This contour gauge is absolutely amazing. I wish I had ordered this earlier as it has made my projects so much easier. I have used it measure tile, crown moulding, and hardwood flooring. This product makes it so easy to get the perfect angle every time.When I ordered this item, I didn’t really notice that you got 2 gauges (a large and a small), so I was pleasantly surprised when my items arrived. They both have been super useful. I would highly recommend this to any DIYer as it will make your life so much easier as well!

I just love my new tool! I’ve always had a hard time using measuring tapes and getting measurements correct and this tool solves that problem for me. Being a woman with an office background trying to do things around the house have always been a bit of a challenge for me. This tool has resolved my problem and accomplish my mission of getting things done that my partner always says “I’ll take care of that” yet things just never get done. Easy to use and some what accurate. When you lock it in to place it causes the sliding pieces to compress to much making the measurement smaller. Other than that it works pretty good for most projects. Definitely worth the price.
