This mesh is works well enough and is fine enough to keep probably all the bugs out. Even gnats probably would not make it though. It is strong enough not to get torn by a tree branch. Not sure if birds will be able to make it though or how fast the sun will degrade it. I got the large and while it is large it won't go over a fully grown tree bigger than your house. The tree I put it on I had to trim a little to get it to fit nicely. I would like it to be even bigger though. On the bottom it has a string to tight it tight enough so it won't come off the tree.As for value you got to make up your own mind about that. How much is bug free fruits, berries, whatever worth to you?

These fruit tree bags come in various sizes on this product page -- you can match the size of the bag to the tree you want to cover. These are a relatively new item in my experience. I have 15 fruit trees in our orchard -- all dwarfs from a fine grower. I never wanted to have to climb a ladder to prune the trees or pick fruit, and that's worked well. I do have to cover the trees each year after letting the bees pollinate the blossoms, in order to keep the birds from destroying the harvest. However, the mesh of most anti-bird netting is large enough to still allow in wasps and other insect pests that mar the fruit. I'm hoping these fine-mesh bags end that, while still letting in enough sunlight to produce abundant fruit.I like that they will cinch around the tree trunks, and that there's a side zipper to give me access, but keep the birds and insects out. They're a better idea.

I get so tired of losing my fruit to the squirrels, birds, deer, and moths. These nets have been essential to keep the critters away. They can not seem to get through the netting. Moths last year laid eggs on my peaches and ruined the fruit with worms inside. This net will keep them away from the fruit. I will put the nets on as soon as my trees are pollinated and the fruit just starts to appear. Without the nets, I would barely get any fruit. I love the netting!

This garden netting cover is an excellent solution for protecting fruit trees and plants from birds and insects. The ultra-fine mesh allows air and sunlight to reach your plants while keeping pests out. With a convenient zipper and drawstring, it's easy to install and provides great coverage for blueberries, tomatoes, and other garden crops!

Japanese beetles have been decimating our young fruit trees and these are large enough to cover a tree and lightweight enough to not put downward pressure on branches. The zipper feature should prevent the need to tie off the netting. We will update with photos once the trees have leafed out, we are not putting it over bare branches to minimize the possibility of tearing it.

I bought these for 2 blueberry bushes in 24 inch pots standing around 5 ft tall and these nets are big enough that I had to put the plants side by side and only used 1 net . They are now protected from burds and bugs but still get plenty of sun and rain . I should have gotten the smallest size, but, still happy .

These mesh nets work great at keeping out the birds, beetles, squirrels, chipmunks, etc. If you have fruit trees, you know it's a battle against nature to keep some of your harvest, so these are a great solution to the problem. Mesh itself is good quality, keeps animals and insects out and lets full sun in. Many different sizes to choose from. Going to order more to cover the remaining trees. If nature is diminishing your fruit, I would highly recommend these as a solution along with sprays and maintenance. Very good product.
