Well, these are made from a rather thin pine material, much thinner than I thought they would be. I'm a bit disappointed that they are not better quality at $29.99, I wouldn't have paid more than $19.99 for the pair. I don't think that these will hold my ticker cookbooks, but it will hold my binders and thinner cookbooks. Not sure I could recommend this item with the price point where it is. I guess time will tell how well it holds up.

These are really nice. They look like cutting boards, but with the metal bracket in front and the stand in back, perfect for cookbooks, either on display as shown, or opened for in use cooking.Simple design, the back doesn't take much to use. We placed a heavier cookbook for use, open, in this, and laid it on the wet surface of our cooking area, and it started sliding a bit. The back doesn't lock, just rubber stopped on the bottom edge and the back leg. On wet surface, they may not hold. Recommend the book on another surface than the preparation area. I like my books right where I'm handling and preparing, not having to reach, but in this case, where the book stands rather than lies flat, I can place this elsewhere.Very nice, actually holds all but a couple of our cookbooks, and even the thicker ones, if they are open at least a 1/4 way through, this holds. More designed for books and binders than loose leaf pages, but tilt angle could work well. Very nice display for the price.
