I've used these before, & work exactly like they are designed to, they keep ice jams & rocks from causing the augers from lock up & jamming & causing sever damage. the shear pins shear off. I've used Shear bolts, but take a whole lot more time to replace. these shear pins come with cotter pins & make replacing the a snap. locally they come in small packs of 3-4, these are the same quality, but at whole lot better price, these came in a20 count pack. top notch ,great price, Thanks

They worked and fit well EXCEPT for the pin slides around too easily and gets in the way while in use. Tried pinching closed but didn't work to tighten them up. Other than that they are great.

The pins look as they should with a decent fit and finish. I haven't (fortunately , meaning no snow) put them to the test yet though. I would say though that they would need to be pretty bad to not be a great deal. If I buy the name brand ones they are three times the price at least. I will come back and edit if I find any issues with performance.

I still have the original pins from a 10yo snow thrower. Somehow they survived harsh new england weather but you should always have an extra set, or two or more. These fit well and work just like the originals.
