3.3 Borosilicate Glass

Tight Sealed Joints
The standard 24/40, 40/38 tapered ground glass joints fit together with nothing but glass in contact. The frosted, precision-ground glass surfaces make a good seal when properly greased. Lo único que se puede mejorar es la manufactura del cerpetin, las esntradas estan resducidas por el dobles del vidrio, no me refiero a las bocas rectas y esmeriladas de la pieza que contiene al cerpentin.

I’m sure this is a great product, but needs improvement on how its packaged. Several pieces of glassware were broken. Mostly anything with the slender tubes was broke or shattered like it had been tossed around a few times. I would recommend better way of packaging these since those pieces are very fragile.

I needed it in urgent , but It arrived damaged and with missing parts. The size was wrong as well. Seems like it was being used before and never got replaced

It arrived faster than expected. It came exceptionally well packaged and undamaged. Exactly as described. Have not tried it out yet but will add more feedback later.

Background: I did organic synthesis work for 4 yrs at a major university and graduated with honors. I bought this kit to help preserve/reclaime as much solvent I could while crystallizing out my intended product.Pros:- very well packed. Three layers of thick high density foam- great value, burner plate, thermometer, big cleaning brush, stand, condenser tubing, clamps included-glass seems adequate quality. Not like fischer brand or other scientific grade glass but appears useableCons:- Stand is adequate and seems like it should be able to hold the weight of the condenser portion just fine but I wish the base of the stand was a little wider-My kit came with the condenser tube missing.Warning. I went to try to return this amazon prime item given the missing condenser tube and could not because it was listed by the seller as "flammable liquid". WTF.. There are no liquids included in the kit. So I'm stuck with a bunch of glassware and looking for the right sized condenser tube to finish the kit. I have tried to reach out to the seller to see if there is recourse. I cannot comment on the utility of the kit since the most essential part was missing.Update: spoke w/ amazon who gave me a full refund and let me keep the item for my inconvenience. I still have to order a 24/40 condenser tube for 45 dollars but I just wish Amazon would have let me exchange the item. It's not good business practice on their part as they're losing money and making this so inconvenient for the buyer. But hey first world problems. Changed it from 1 star to 2 stars. I will update the review once I've had a chance to do my first distillation with the kit setup and see how it performs.

While this setup for distilling essential oils looks like it would work, but no instructions as to how it should go together or how to make it work. I also learned that there are other items that must be used such as silicone lubricant and a stainless steel screen, and a small pump for water circulation.
