The flashing lights seem more annoying to me than all the critters we have here in backwoods Alabama. I put these next to our chicken coop to gauge effectiveness as we sometimes have chickens disappearing..( I have 2 cameras so I watch/record when motion happens..) as far as the functionality goes..Seems to function well repelling winged creatures like Owls, Hawks, Kestrels etc... repels the coyotes and red foxes but not the gray ones. Lost a young chicken last night to one...possums, racoons and rabbits totally ignore it. I don't know how it would repel snakes and it doesn't... A chicken coop is prime habitat for them. Seems durable enough and battery life is ok and of course it doesn't make any noise which would help in our case. Its a fair value but really needs some additional functionality to be a good product. 3 stars, kinda disappointing.... Gene's 2 nickels... (they quit making cents..) lol

So far so good! My parents have an owl around their property and a small dog. I bought this for them to try to relieve their mind letting their dog out at night. They haven’t heard it screeching as much since using, which is a great sign.

We got wild animals all the time tearing up our yard. This is to scare them off at night. Lights power up during day and blink at night. Good so far.

I have been having issues with squirrels digging up my garden. So far my garden is doing good. I think I will also use one these as warning blinker when I ride my bike in the morningUpdate: decided to give it a 5 star. After a couple of nights those night animals seem to stay away from my garden. I think they might be good for other this such as Halloween.

This product is by far the best animal repeller I've ever purchased. I had given up, but decided to try one last one and it has been amazing!! Higly recommended!

This solar nocturnal animal repeller looks just like its advertisement. It’s compact, very bright, and charges in the sun. We’ve had it outside for a week and it’s held up in heat, wind, and rain. It does recognize daylight from nighttime and turns itself on and off accordingly. As for animal repelling, it did not bother cats.My little kids think it’s cool and use it as a spaceship and Batman’s fighter jet. It would also be fun to stick in the bushes for Halloween.

The key word is Nocturnal. Let me tell you how this works. When the solar panel isn't making power, two red LEDs blink non-stop in a narrow-focused direction. There is NO sensor that turns this on when the nuisance animal is detected. There is also no sound emitted like other animal repellent devices.Again, back to the key word, nocturnal. Since it only blinks its lights at night, many of the listed animals are unaffected since they are NOT nocturnal. The animals causing problems for me include squirrels, most birds (turkeys in my case), and deer. These animals are causing problems during the day so they are unaffected.Consider the fact that this is going to blink non-stop on your property. That can very well be an eyesore for you and your neighbors. Now that you have the real facts, you can make a better buying decision. I wish I did my homework before ordering.
