As the headline states: Works Well - I Suggest Using Muffler Cement In ConcertI had recently replaced a corroded exhaust pipe section between the cat and muffler on my 2003 Dodge RAM 1500 8' Bed. To me it seems with the bigger 3" exhaust pipes the connections always leak a little with either band clamps or the traditional U-Bolt clamps. Hence I recommend adding Muffler Cement using either clamps for a leak free seal. The band clamp is built solid and easy to install and does not damage the pipe for easy pipe removal and replacement. This clamp is for one pipe inserted into another. There are band clamps for butt joints also. The price is right for an excellent quality clamp.

The 3" Exhaust Clamps, Double Pipe Diameter Muffler Clamp is a universal solution for securing and connecting exhaust pipes in vehicles. This clamp is designed to fit pipes with a 3-inch inner diameter (ID) and 3-inch outer diameter (OD), making it a versatile and reliable choice for repairing or installing exhaust systems, including mufflers and exhaust manifolds. Here’s a detailed review:Pros:Universal Compatibility: The 3-inch size makes this clamp a good fit for most 3-inch exhaust pipes, including those used in mufflers and exhaust manifolds. It offers universal compatibility, making it a versatile choice for a variety of vehicles, from cars and trucks to SUVs and motorcycles. The double pipe diameter design ensures that it can securely fit pipes with 3-inch inner and outer diameters, providing flexibility for various exhaust systems.Durable and Corrosion-Resistant Material: The clamp is made from high-quality steel and is designed to be corrosion-resistant, making it well-suited for the harsh environment of an exhaust system. The exposure to heat, moisture, and road salts can cause regular clamps to rust or degrade over time, but this clamp is built to withstand the elements and maintain its strength and functionality. It offers reliable performance for long-term use.Strong and Secure Connection: The double pipe diameter design ensures a tight, secure fit between two exhaust pipes. The muffler clamp provides a strong connection, preventing exhaust leaks and ensuring that the exhaust system remains securely attached. It is an essential component for those looking to replace or repair their exhaust system without worrying about loose connections or leaks.Easy Installation: This clamp is designed for easy installation without requiring welding or complex tools. You can install it using basic hand tools, making it a convenient option for DIY repairs or modifications to your exhaust system. The installation process is straightforward, which makes it an appealing choice for those who want a quick and efficient fix for their exhaust system without a mechanic’s help.Effective Exhaust Leak Prevention: One of the key benefits of using this exhaust clamp is its ability to prevent exhaust leaks. A poorly sealed connection between exhaust pipes can cause loud noises, poor engine performance, and the risk of harmful exhaust gases leaking into the cabin. This clamp ensures that the exhaust pipes stay tightly connected, preventing these issues and maintaining the integrity of the exhaust system.Affordable and Practical: The 3-inch exhaust clamp is an affordable solution for exhaust pipe repairs or modifications. Given the cost of replacing an entire exhaust system, this clamp provides a cost-effective alternative that can fix issues at a fraction of the price. It’s a practical choice for those on a budget but who still want to ensure their exhaust system is functioning optimally.Cons:Limited Size Range: While the clamp is ideal for 3-inch pipes, it may not be compatible with pipes of different sizes. If your exhaust system uses pipes larger or smaller than 3 inches, you would need to look for a clamp that fits those specific sizes. This could be a limitation if you're working with a variety of exhaust pipe sizes.May Not Fit Some Custom Exhaust Systems: If you have a custom exhaust system with unique pipe configurations, the clamp may not fit perfectly. The clamp is designed for a universal fit, but in some cases, custom exhaust systems may require more specific or specialized clamps that are tailored to unique dimensions or shapes.Clamping Force May Vary: Depending on the design of your exhaust pipes and their alignment, the clamping force may not be as strong as desired in certain situations. If you have a heavily used exhaust system or pipes that don’t align well, you may experience issues with the clamp’s ability to fully secure the connection. Ensuring the pipes are properly aligned before installation will help avoid this issue.Could Be Too Small for Heavier-Duty Applications: While the clamp is great for standard repairs and installations, it may not be ideal for heavier-duty applications, such as racing or high-performance vehicles. These types of vehicles often have higher exhaust temperatures and pressure, and may require high-strength clamps designed to withstand more extreme conditions.Potential for Over-tightening: Like many clamps, over-tightening can lead to damage to the pipes or deformation of the clamp. It’s important to follow the manufacturer’s torque specifications during installation to avoid damaging the exhaust pipes or causing the clamp to lose its effectiveness.Overall Verdict:The 3" Exhaust Clamps, Double Pipe Diameter Muffler Clamp offers great value for anyone looking to replace or repair their exhaust system with a reliable, affordable, and easy-to-install solution. Its durable steel construction and corrosion-resistant material ensure it performs well in tough conditions, and its universal fit makes it a practical choice for most 3-inch exhaust systems. The secure fit it provides helps to prevent exhaust leaks, making it a key component for maintaining your vehicle’s exhaust integrity. The affordable price and ease of installation also make it an appealing option for DIY enthusiasts looking to fix or upgrade their exhaust system without the need for professional assistance. While it may not be suitable for all custom exhaust systems or larger/heavy-duty applications, it works great for standard 3-inch exhaust systems and provides an effective solution for sealing exhaust pipes tightly and securely. For anyone in need of a reliable, affordable, and easy-to-install exhaust clamp for their 3-inch pipes, the 3" Exhaust Clamps are a solid choice that offers excellent performance and value for the price.

I used this on a 2.25" exhaust join. The bolts are thick and the fit is good. While there are no visible ratings on the bolts, they seem up to the job and I think this is a great value product for the price.

Messed up ording a pipe and got 2.25 ID instead of outer. The reducer worked perfect to connect the 2 for a broken exhaust

I've been working on an old F150 and I needed to replace my muffler and tailpipe - the old exhaust was more holes than pipe. I'm not a welder though and I wasn't sure if the muffler I bought was one I'd want to keep, so I needed this to hold things in place and for that - it does a perfectly adequate job. It fit perfectly over my 2 1/4" pipe to hold the joint in place

I got this because I am going to upgrade my exhaust to an aftermarket one on my 2019 Ram 1500. The instructions on the aftermarket pipes recommend I cut my factory one. However, when I look at this and put it up against my pipe if you can see from the picture one side is bigger than the other? I thought this was one size only uniformed piece so when I go to sell my truck I'd like to put the factory back in.
