I started roasting my own coffee a while back and want a container that will release the gases that are produced immediately after roasting, without letting in air that causes oxidation. With the one-way valve, this canister provides the functionality I am after.The canister itself is a nice, smooth glass. The top piece is plastic with a built in one-way valve. It seals well against the jar such that all flow must go through the one-way valve. To release the valve for opening and such, you push a convenient little button on the side of the valve.The system seems to work well overall, with a good design and quality. Personally, it feels like the glass part of the canister looks better than the plastic top though. While the top is designed and works well, the dull colored plastic just doesn't scream quality. This seems backwards since I know the top is where the design and real work came in but that's just how it looks.It holds more roasted coffee than I tend to make in a batch so it's suited well for my needs.

I like that it is very functional and good looking. Even came with a coffee scoop.I doubt I’ll use the date dial on top but I like the fact that it both seals with the push of a button and releases with the same while still venting CO2. Most equivalent storage containers don’t vent and are made of plastic.The glass looks like lab glass quality and while thin, I’m hoping it is durable. Of course I worry about breaking it so I handle store it very carefully.I do LOVE that it stores a full pound of beans.Not sure how much better it is at maintaining freshness than the newer generation of high-end coffee bags which both vent and have a built in zipper to open and store (see last pic).Certainly a step above the traditional bags that are taped shut or have the wire that ultimately seems to come off the bag.It’s nice looking with good graphics and appears to be a very well-made, high quality storage container.Recommended!

It has an airtight seal that works great. Glass is easy to clean and the seal will keep your coffee beans fresh. The canister is larger than my hand and made of solid glass so it's difficult to grab this and hold it while pulling the lid off. It could use a silicone sleeve around it or something to grab hold of, maybe a neck that is smaller around and easier to grasp with one hand. It seems to be good quality, but I need something I can hold. I'm constantly worried I will lose my grip and break this.

I always have multiple different types of coffee in my pantry and need storage for all of it. This is a very nice real glass canister with an airtight lid. This is very nicely made and excellent quality, unlike many cheap ones I've purchased over the years. I prefer my coffee containers to not be clear to avoid exposing my coffee beans to sunlight but this will be kept in my pantry so that doesn't matter in this case. Keeps my coffee fresh and the 22 oz capacity easily holds the 1 lb bags of coffee that I store in these. Very nice looking and made well. Great product.
