This is a heavy duty slip yoke that will work for car or half ton truck duty.The machine work is good. The end seal is to be pressed onto the yoke, it's not the screw on type.You can press the seal on by hand, but it's very difficult to get it back off.This part works together with the 2-53-471 stub shaft, they fit together great.I would recommend this for your drieshaft project, I think it will work for most 4x4, car or 1/2 ton truck.The limit factor will be the 1310 universal joint, not this slip yoke.

I had to cut 1 3/4” off it and weld the end back on. I have a spicer shaft with a DANA SUPER 44HD differential I installed in it so that’s why I had to modify it. Good quality, fair price, delivered fast, I recommend

I lifted my 1978 F150 six inches and needed to extend my driveshafts. The rear will definitely need a custom built shaft. This slip yoke saved me about $350 for a custom front shaft. It is a little over 2 inches longer than the stock one. The seal is a little tough to get on, but with some bearing grease it can be done by hand and muscle. I did paint mine black so that it doesn't rust. Also, you can tell that the yoke isn't going to be as strong as the Spicer brand. Overall, I am happy with this purchase.
