For the price of this camera, I was not expecting much out of it but it has genuinely surprised me. Device was very easy to set up and the app is pretty straight forward on how to use. Device detects motion very well and has followed without issues. Image quality is great for both day and night and the alarm is quite loud to scare someone off. As far as range goes, the WiFi router is upstairs and the camera is down stairs but have not had any connectivity issues. We also have ADT cameras but this camera pulls up much faster in the app and does not require as good of a phone signal to load. I have the camera set up on the porch and it has been in 112 degree temps and durability wise is holding up. No need to contact customer support so I am not sure how responsive they are but I will keep this review updated with my experience.

I used to have a blink camera and had so many problems connecting it and reconnecting it to my WiFi and app. It also went off and would send me notifications all day. So I got this to replace my blink. This product and app is much easier to manage than the blink. I can check my camera any time of the day, turn on audio to speak and to listen, and reposition the camera from the app. It even has an alarm I can turn on manually or set to automatic. You do have to have an app and set up an account but they are free. You can upgrade but so far I haven’t felt a need to even though the upgrade is pretty cheap. I definitely recommend this over the blink and ring because it is very cheap and works well. I have had some issues with it not recording but I think it was one of the settings I had it on. Once I reset it, unscrewed it and put it back in it started working. I have it set to pet and human because it does get confused between people and pets. That seems to have fixed all the issues I’ve had with it.

Got this camera and have been testing it out for a few days.Software -The app that is used for the camera (VicoHome) is pretty good. At least as far as the English language interface is concerned there are no glaring misspellings or grammar issues. The setup was quick and easy and did not have any failures. Settings are easily found within the app.Manual -The manual is well written just like the app. Very clear and easy to understand. Good drawings which help clarify things.Functionality -I've been using this on the inside, mainly in an area where my cats roam and play a lot. It does manage to pick up both humans and animals accurately and makes good clear recordings. Since this is being used inside I'm using a lamp base I have set on the floor - The camera design is such that while it can be set for correct rotation (i.e. people appear upright even though the camera is 'upside down') it is limited in how low it can track. Based on testing it's 'lowest' aim in a standard light fixture is parallel to the floor. One nit I found today though was that the camera got 'stuck' tracking a ceiling fan's motion.Pros :- Good camera- Good sound- Good software- Can pick up and differentiate (and exclude) animals from people- Notifications can be set to be sent on people, animals, or both, as well as non-person/pet motionsCons :- (VERY minor) Limited vertical range in an 'upright' configuration. This would not be a problem in the normal from-the-ceiling/overhead configuration.- (minor) Camera's motion detection got confused by and stuck tracking a ceiling fan's blades that came into camera view while tracking movements- (minor) Noise from the camera's motor rotating got picked up in a couple of the motion-detection videos- (medium) Recording time on motion detection in the app is limited to 10, 15, or 20 seconds. I would prefer being able to set a higher value like 60 seconds as the movement was still being tracked when the video cut at max length.- (medium) It looks like being able to set specific activity zones is an upgrade to the app.
