You need these if you want them to run 24/7. Sleeve bearings wont do it.

Very robust. It's certainly more industrial than some of the cheaper ones you find. I have only tested with a 12v 1A adapter, but it moves a lot of air as this design usually does. Its a bit on the loud side, but I think thats more a matter of physics. You push that much air, you're going to be loud.

I use two of these each zip tied to two Raspberry Pi clusters. The cords are a bit long, but better than a bit short. Just plugged them into a USB port and the keep the clusters cool. Better than having a fan for each Pi. Each fan cools three of six. They move plenty of air, and aren't excessively noisy, though it's hard to tell with everything else in that room making noise.

I used two of these fans to provide supplemental cooling for my HP laptop. I built a pedestal to set the laptop on with the fans blowing room temperature air into the bottom of the computer. They make a lot of noise for the amount of air they move. They do keep the computer cooler though, and that is what I bought them for.
