$85 is way too much for this cheap plastic product. The swivel joint can easily break if you are not careful when you try to adjust the angle of the lamp. The battery compartment lid does not feel secure when locking the lid after installing the battery. After installing 3 AA batteris, it gets heavier and if you install on the ceiling, the lamp might fall off if the batteryu compartment lid becomes seperated from the lamp. The light is not suitable for lighting an art work of the size 37' x 26" for which I purchased

I had high hopes for these little setups, however on taking them out of the box the material just did not meet expectations. The paint is shoddy and so the black mixes with the gold at the seams in noticeable blobs. The hinge is very stiff, and while this can be a good thing in terms of keeping its orientation when setting up, I found it compromised the design and is more likely to make it break easier, if you tend to move the position around (which I would be doing), because of the contrasting plastic of the light.For me personally these won’t suite so I will be returning them.***I had no issues with checking installation, and as a test period there didn’t seem to be any problems with the brightness (or the remote). As I won’t be keeping them I cannot comment on how long the batteries will last in these lights (depending on what brand you use). Keep in mind that batteries are not included.

You get two remotes, but the remotes operate each of them simultaneously if they're in close range. You cannot operate them individually unless you're using built in buttons. And they drain battery pretty quickly.

I really like the brightness of these spotlights. It’s an added bonus that you can select colors using the remote control. For years, I have put a spotlight on a sign in one of my Christmas displays above the fireplace. Now I can imagine multiple uses for these two lights because I can change the colors or have the colors fade in and out.The current spotlights I have require that I turn them off manually every night before we go to bed and I often forget to do that. That means the batteries run down quickly. Plus, it is hard to pull them out of the display to find the off switch in my old spotlightsThese spotlights have a remote control with an on off button, which makes it easier and they do have a timer.But it would be a great improvement if these lights had a timer that lasted longer than 60 minutes. It’s unfortunate that they did not design these to include the six hours on an 18 hours off function. Perhaps in the next generation of lights that could be accomplished?
