This 4 Farad capacitor can handle significant currents on the order of one Ampere or more on a one time discharge mode. Formula is CV=IT, so time is CV/I, where C is Farads, V is voltage change, I is initial Amps. So, at a one Amp discharge, it will take about 4 seconds to drop one Volt DC.
