I’ve used it two times now, the first time I rubbed oil all over the half domed scoops and the meat still stuck every time. The second time I thought lard would be better, but I found again, when I opened the tool that it would have the meat ball and I still had to dig it out and hand roll every one. I was using a 2/1 ratio of meat to bread crumbs mixed with egg and seasonings. I bought these because there were two sizes. The meat mixture was cold and had been refrigerated before attempting to use the tool. I don’t know what else I could try to make it release better.

I bought these as a recipe I was making, it called for a "meatballer". They shipped fast, the fact that it comes with 2 sizes is great. Little tip for use was also included, as well as a thank you for your purchase card. No complaints here!
