I was looking for an alternative to Boveda for my cigar humidor, and I gave these a try.After a month, all the dots were still pink, all these packs were still flexible and intact, and my hygrometer was deeply in the red, with a dangerously low humidity level. Several of my best cigars took minor damage from the low humidity. This experiment was a complete disaster.I have no idea why these packs weren't adding humidity to the humidor. I removed each pack from the wrapper, placing the indicator dot on top of the pack. I added multiple packs to the humidor.If I had failed to add enough packs, it would not be surprising to find some or all of them dried out along with my low humidity level, but all the packs remained completely intact and as new, as far as I could tell. All with pink dots, indicating that they were alive and functioning.They did not function in this capacity. Not at all!I can't speak to any other potential uses for this product. Perhaps it works perfectly in some other context. In a cigar humidor going through the brutal winter months, this product utterly failed to maintain my cigars. This is not, therefore, a suitable way to save money over Boveda packs.
