these are decent outdoor socks, but not fantastic. They are fairly warm, but not as warm as others that I have used. they also seem a looser weave than others of the same size and tend to fall down more quickly than others as well. Over all were well made and comfortable socks, but for over $8 a piece, I think you can do much better.

These are very very comfortable socks. It's thick enough to feel like it's padded but not too thick that wedging your feet into shoes or snow gear is a chore. They are very stretchy while being very soft. I've used them on my recent snowboarding trip and my feet stayed warm and dry. It wicks sweat very well but, as you know, snowboarding boots don't vent so moisture does get trapped. However, the socks dried fast once I had my boots off. I wear them a lot around the house now that it's winter and love them. Yes, I definitely recommend these socks.... even if I am skeptical of the amount of wool advertised. The price point is awesome.

I got these for my husband and when I got them I decided I had to keep one pair for myself. These socks are thick in the places you want that extra cushion. He really likes his too. And I love my pair. They feel great and they are so warm. I got these right when that arctic blast moved through making it so much colder than usual here. These helped keep my feet warm and comfortable. We both would recommend these socks.

I wear a size 8 so I got a large. They are so tight and make my feet itch. I tried to put a pair of socks under them but they are already to tight. I squeezed them on but still made my feet itch and they are definitely not over the calf. Not a fan. Maybe for kids.

These are some pretty comfortable fitting socks and come in varying colors and I feel at least personally they're pretty stylish for their intent. They seem to be keeping my feet warm after testing in some cases MANY hours outdoors in below 30 degree weather so I am pretty content with them. After running them through a few wash cycles they seem to handle and hold up well with no issues of tears or unusual shrinkage so that's a PLUS, too! I feel personally these are ideal for someone that would be wearing boots, skis, or other kinds of outdoor type shoes and I have had no problem fitting my foot in with the socks on and not only that but a quite comfortable fit, too. There is a bit of an extra cushion to make it all the more comfortable to slip on and in general I am definitely satisfied.
