Usable length is only 48" - not 51"...makes a big difference if you need to stack 3 stacks of boxes that are 17"!

We were not able to stage the moving van near our townhouse on move day. This U-Boat was a life saver to help with moving bins and boxes from the garage to the van down a small grade. Much easier than multiple trips with a hand truck.

This U-boat is sturdily built and very handy for carrying heavy loads.The primary challenge is getting one in good condition. It ships in three parts - the two sides and the wheeled deck. Unfortunately (see below) it was shipped with the two sides just taped to the deck. There was no shipping carton. Assembly is simple - the sides slip into holes in the deck.We ordered two. One came fine. The other came with just the deck and no sides - they must have come loose en route. So we returned it. The replacement came with all parts but one of the holes into which a side is inserted was bent out of shape. Rather than return it we hammered it out.So, it is a great product but be prepared for possible shipping problems. I wish the manufacturer could ship it in a more-reliable manner.

3rd times the charm. 1st time all I received was the handles. 2nd time it was completely destroyed and lost. Amazon then took down the listing for several months to address the packaging... it must have worked as I received the 3rd one in good condition. There is a small dent but once you receive this you'll understand why. This thing is of industrial quality and weight. These types of items get abused even by conscientious drivers as they are a bear to handle by one person. Expect a dent or a ding or two, but also expect to receive a serious cart that'll take many years of abuse.

Description originally said this was a 60" long u-boat wheeler. I received the 48". Not cool. Now when I follow my Amazon "purchases" link, the description is for the 48" cart, and the price is twice as much. Weird.BUT, wheeler is smooth and works great. Can't beat the turning capacity and narrow deck of a u-boat.
