My brother and I often have to share the same 30-amp outlet for my motorhome and his trailer when we are together at the campsite. We have been swapping it out between the two of us depending upon our needs for extra power. It works, but it takes some effort and time. So, when I saw this 30-amp splitter I wanted to give it a try and I am glad I did. It works great. It is built well, and it is easy to plug in and unplug the receptacles and it holds them well too without falling out. It works just the way it should. We will still need to be sure we aren’t running too much power at the same time, but at least our days of switching out are over. I definitely recommend this splitter.

This cord is a useful addition to my adapters and splitters box. This cable allows a traditional 30A RV plug to be split into two 30A circuits. Each leg can pull the full 30A, but not at the same time. The total current for both legs cannot exceed 30A or the breaker will trip on the supply side. It is still great though for hooking up two trailers/RVs to one 30A circuit at the same time. Both can run off the same supply box without having to swap plugs each time, just watch the total power pulled. This adapter is constructed with heavy duty material and should stand up to rough use. The cord junctions and strain reliefs are more than adequate. The contacts that are visible appear solid and shiny. I like it.
