How to Choose the Right Violin Size?
First, stand relaxed with one arm extended, palm flat and pointing forward. Use a ruler or tape measure to measure from the center of your neck (below the collarbone) to the tip of your middle finger. Record the length.
Then, refer to the size chart to choose the right size. If your measurement is between two sizes, choose the smaller one for a more comfortable fit.

Violin Usage Instructions
- When you receive your violin, you may find that the strings are not installed on the fingerboard. This is a normal arrangement to prevent the strings from breaking during sending to you.
- Please note that the bridge is wrapped in kraft paper and placed under the black tailpiece. Do not discard it. The bridge is very important when installing the strings, so make sure to keep it properly.
String Installation Instructions
1.Turn Only One Peg
- Due to the tension and fragility of the strings, ensure that you adjust only one peg at a time. Turn the peg clockwise once or twice, feeling the change in string tension. Avoid turning multiple pegs at the same time, as this can cause the string to slip off or break.
2.Avoid Over-adjustment
- The four strings differ in thickness and fragility. Do not continuously turn the pegs repeatedly. Slightly adjust one or two times to familiarize yourself with the tension direction. Continuous turning may cause the strings to loosen or break.
- If the string slips off, simply straighten the head of the string, pass it through the peg hole, and turn the peg to secure the string. The small ball at the end of the string can be hooked onto the tailpiece to help secure the string.
3.Rebound Phenomenon Explanation
- During the process of adjusting the strings, the pegs may experience slight rebound. This happens because the string tension increases gradually, and once it reaches a certain level, the reverse tension from the string affects the peg, causing it to rebound. This phenomenon indicates that the string tension is approaching the ideal state and is a normal part of the tuning process.
- When rebound occurs, please stop turning the peg.Continuing to adjust may cause the string to become too tight, potentially leading to string breakage or peg damage.
4.String Breakage Handling
- If a string breaks, do not worry. Please tell us, and we will provide a solution.
5. Additional Tip for Peg Stability
- If you feel that the peg is becoming loose or unstable, gently push it inward while turning. This will help increase stability.
- Be cautious not to apply too much force, and avoid continuously turning the peg multiple times.
Bridge Installation Reminder
1.Installing the Bridge
- When installing the bridge, do not forcibly lift the strings to install the bridge. Ensure that the tension of all four strings is moderate, not too tight. Follow the instructions carefully to install the bridge correctly. Remember, the thinnest string should be installed at the highest point of the bridge, as it is the most fragile.
2.Tighten the thickest string first to help stabilize the bridge, then gradually tighten the other strings, with the thinnest string being the last one.
- Once the bridge is secure, you can begin tuning the strings.
Bow Usage Instructions
1.Removing the Bow
- When you receive your violin, the bow is secured with an elastic band on both sides of the pegs. Gently turn the black peg to remove the elastic band, and you can easily take out the bow.
2.Adjusting the Bow
- Adjust the top knob of the bow according to the instructions. It is very important to adjust the tension of the bow hair, keeping the horsetail about 0.40 inch away from the bow stick in the middle part.
- If too loose, it will affect the sound quality; if too tight, it may cause the bow hair to break.Use the rosin under the square cover to rub the bow hair thoroughly. Ensure the rosin is applied evenly to increase friction and produce a clear tone.
After completing these steps, you can begin playing normally.
