My kids are learning to play the piano. Its rough going, but they are getting there. This is a great priced piece and is perfect for beginners. Durable and easy fit for small hands. Would recommend for anyone starting out.The piano works and has a lot of functions, the microphone came completly fallen apart. It snapped together easy enough, but it doesn't pick up sound very well even with it practically touching my kid's mouth. I got this one because she loves to sing, but she's just focusing on the piano for now.

My son loves this, he is really into sprunkis and piano songs right now so I thought it would be a good gift. He has been playing with it so much lately. It has a lot of different settings and presets, it makes some animal noises, and even have a record and playback setting. It comes with a microphone that you can plug in as well, which works but isn't very loud. It feels very lightweight and I was worried it wasn't going to be very durable, but so far it has exceeded the durability expectations. I love that the volume is adjustable, my son likes that you can adjust the speed of the beats as well. My kiddo is 4.5 and I think he's just around the appropriate age for this to not destroy it immediately, but actually have fun so I would say it's 4+. Overall a fun pass time and a great learning tool for little ones, i wrote the notes on the keys for him to learn placement.

Bought 2 of these & returned both. The microphone & some of the presets just give an annoying loud feedback sound. My toddler liked it so I returned it & ordered another & the second was worse then the first. It's a cute little keyboard & we like the animal sound feature but it would just get stuck on the load annoying sound if you hit the wrong button & doesn't stop until you turn it off.

My son loves this! He has played with every feature, and he especially loves "playing" the piano while singing! It takes batteries, but there is also a cord for power as well (needs a block to plug into an outlet). We haven't tried the cord power yet, because he loves to take it to the various rooms he's playing in. The sound is decent, especially for the size and price. The keys and buttons are all responsive and have good differences between the options. There's even a chime when the keyboard sits on for too long, and my son said, "Oh, I better turn it off!" I don't know how durable it is... my son is 5 now, and I wouldn't have considered this for him at any younger age. The love of smashing everything against everything else has thankfully subsided at this point! Overall, this is a super fun toy, and I would definitely recommend it!

This thing can be LOUD or quiet. My son is 3 but already knows fully how the keys work and all the buttons as well as how to plugin the mic and where to put it when it needs to be stored. The keyboard feels light and flimsy when you get it, but it works well and it’s a good size. Not sure how the durability or quality actually is but it’s taken a few hits to its face by my son bashing his hands down on it. The microphone is pretty quiet unless you yell loudly into it or shove your mouth up against it, that’s a bit of a pitfall for me so I removed a star.

Very small 3 octave mini keyboard, smaller than the usual 2 octave and very much made for children's fingers. Comes with a fold-out manual, tiny microphone (3.5mm/1/8" jack on rear) and micro USB power cable. Runs on micro-USB as a power adapter or 3 AAA batteries. Plain, solid cardboard box has a plastic handle and can function as a carrying case or storage. Two actual working speakers, low quality sound for both speakers and microphone, no sound output. 14 screws on bottom - mine is missing one. Plastic is not particularly thick but not see-through.All sounds are low-bitrate samples, with 8 tones (Organ, String, Guitar, Flute, Music Box, Piano, Violin, Xylophone) and 8 rhythms (Blue, Ballad, March, Euro, Fusion, Polka, Disco, Tango). Tones have a maximum of 8 voices, holding down 8 keys and playing more keys gives strange jumping notes. Rhythms bear no resemblance to the style listed, disco for example doesn't seem to have a bass drum and polka is just 4-on-the-floor and probably better suited to disco. Changing a rhythm pattern resets the tempo, they are not programmed in such a way to be switched on the fly.4 drum samples (Bass, Snare, Crash, Ride) and 4 animal sound samples (Dog, Frog, Duck, Bird) with a button each, switchable with a fifth button which itself makes a beep which one could play as a fifth rhythm sound.3 different demo playback buttons which each seem to pull from the same library of 19 demo 'songs'. Demo A loops the songs as sequenced (most are not programmed to loop seamlessly and have a pause before restarting) and a double-press moves to the next song in the order. Demo B and C play through the songs in order. Each song consists of a few bars of a public domain classic, with the usual children's songs, christmas singalongs and classical themes. Very complex multi-timbral sequences in some with drums and multiple instruments, not actually sure it's playing the internal sounds sometimes. Tempo affects the playback. There is a simple sequencer with which does real-time recordings. It only records notes, not drums or animal sounds. All function buttons - Volume control, Tempo, Drum/Animal, Rec, Play, and Stop - beep when pressed. Pressing a tone button plays a note using the tone, pressing a rhythm button starts or stops the rhythm. Power button is a physical switch. Keys are slightly textured. There is an unused punch-out the size of a USB-A port on the rear labeled USB with the USB logo. There's a lot here for the circuit bender or home keyboard hobbyist to play with, and I'm sure the kids will enjoy it too. Definitely not going to learn how to play on these tiny keys, however.
