These things could strap down a tank. All the moving parts works smoothly. I did put some anti-sieze on the threads to keep them from rusting. The threads are a little looser than I'd like, but that could be normal for such coarse threads. They did a quickie paintjob, and there is bare metal where the ratchet was engaged and where the chain links overlapped each other
