Seals well on my narrow to average face. The metal bridge wears out my nose unless I bend it to shape with care, using a pencil like a blacksmith’s anvil.I found these a little harsh for all-day wear but great for one or two hours.

I ordered and received this respirator from Amazon in Dec. 2023 and tested them on Jan 2, 2024.1. It is head band style and easy to handle.2. It fits to my face quite well without any air leakage.3. It is comfortable for using up to 5 hours tested.4. I randomly test 10 respirators and no head band broken occurred at any respirator tested.5. An essential test for KN95 respirator (1) It should be separated into 5 layers, and each layer should be waterproof and the mid layer (3rd layer) should be non flammable. It was easy to separate into to 3 layers: the 1, 2+3+4, 5 layers. The 2nd and 4th layers are very thin that nearly impossible to separate them form the 3rd layer. However, I am an experienced eye surgeon so I can separated these layers while I used the microsurgical instruments. (2) All layers are waterproof and the 3rd layer is non flammable. Therefore, it meets the essential KN95 respirator criteria. (3) These respirators were produced at July 15. 2001, and the validated period is 5 years after the production, therefore, they could be used before July 15, 2025.Conclusion: This is an excellent KN95 respirator. However, because the 2nd and 4th layers are very thin, therefore, it is suggested to wear a surgical mask outside of this respirator while entering a high risk circumstance.

Strange that I am the first reviewer. Excellent 3M mask, made in China, has NIOSH approval number and is listed on FDA's appendix A. A little confusing that appendix A is for non-NIOSH masks. But I do find it on NIOSH website (because NIOSH approval date was after Appendix A date). Low price made me wonder if these are legitimate, but they are sold by Amazon, not a vendor, and they seem to be the real deal. Very nice, well made, fits snugly, durable elastic, nose metal is thick and strong. No obvious negatives. Anyone else have any concerns about whether these are genuine or not? One reviewer says these are counterfeit if they don't have a 3M Safe Guard sticker, but I think the sticker is suspicious. 3M's own Safe Guard website does NOT list 9502+ as a model in their Safe Guard program and the website says "Look for the 3M Safe Guard code on the packaging. If your product does not have the a Safe Guard code on the packaging then it is not supported by this tool but it still may be an authentic 3M product." I have not been able to find out directly from 3M. And to the reviewer who says 3M does not make masks in China, this is not true.It sure would be helpful if those who says these are fake explain how they determined that. I called 3M and they can't tell me if they are genuine or are not counterfeit. They did say amazon is not an authorized distributor of 3M. Amazon referred me to the FDA. The counterfeit lists 3M has on their website do not include this model. And there are counterfeits out there of all models, not just the few on 3m's list. There is mention that this model only came through FEMA, but it appears that was in April 2020, and it doesn't say anything about availability after that. These became available on Amazon in late 2020. So please don't just say fake without data because I and others really want to know for sure if these are genuine or if they are counterfeits with absolutely no apparent difference from the genuine masks.

(upgraded to 5 stars)I purchased this box from Amazon on Amazon.com, not from a third party merchant but from Amazon itself which I had heard was an authorized reseller of 3M masks and that 3M had announced the importation of Asian market masks. The masks seem to be of good quality, with no obvious manufacturing errors. In addition, it's been a month and it is still listed on Amazon so it hasn't be taken off market by 3M for fraud like some other offerings. Each individual mask has a serial number printed on it in clear crisp writing. Comfort wise, They are thinner and not as comfortable as my pre-pandemic 3M 8210Plus.However...That said...I and others in the Amazon review have noticed there are typos in the English on the box. On the top, under "IMPORTANT" the word instructions is misspelled "Instuctions" On the English panel on the side, under "Do Not Use For" section another misspelling of “Administretion" and finally, under the "Storage Conditions and Shelf Life" section there is a format typo with no space between “use by date, see bottom" I have reached out via to 3M via US .com and Chinese .cn website forms asking if these are legit masks.--(UPDATE)So I'm a bit annoyed that my detail update to this review disappeared somewhere in Amazon's vetting process after I hit the submit. So more tersely after sending detailed photos of all sides of the box, both sides and the inside of a mask, 3M replied that these are genuine. To confirm, I wrote back, so they are real, even though they have typos? 3M replited:"These respirators are authentic, but you are correct in that you did find some typos and we have now brought this to the attention of our teams so they can correct for the future. Thank you for your diligence in both finding these errors and reporting them to us. We apologize that it caused confusion about the authenticity of the product."
