This 3-pack of round 1.28" LCD displays from Waveshare work great. They are high-quality displays that can produce clean animations and colors. There is a lot of solid documentation on Waveshare's wiki page for this product including libraries. The displays utilize I2C and can operate at either 3.3V or 5V. The shape and functionality allows them to work well for making emoting eyes on a robot.Overall, I would definitely recommend this product.

I really like these round displays for gauges and clock like displays for projects. These are a good value for 3 displays and I really love when displays ship in a little case like these do. To me that's extra value especially if you don't plan to permanently install them somewhere. They're quite easy to get up and running if you just search for the GC9A01 driver name you'll find libraries and tutorials readily available. These are SPI although the data and clock pins are labeled (SDA, SCL) as if they're I2C these boards do not support I2C. The SDA is the data pin in the SPI configuration. Took me a few minutes to figure out the wiring for Arduino but it generally follows the same pattern as any SPI display. It's also worth noting that these boards do not have a backlight control pin as other similar displays have. That means the backlight is always on if the board has power. If you want to use these in something with a battery or a project where you want to turn off the display when not in use you will have to work out a solution to cut power to the display when not needed.Pretty happy with these display overall, the lack of a backlight pin is a minor annoyance but for my use cases it's not a major issue. The package of 3 and included cases make this a pretty nice deal in my opinion.

I used these screens to try out a youtube tutorial on making gauges with an ESP-32. These worked really well and I was able to follow the spec sheets I looked up online. This is good price if you want to tinker, and making a 3d printed holder for these is not very hard.

These displays are small but surprisingly crisp. I connected them to an Arduino using SPI and the colors came through nicely. The round shape is a nice change from the usual square modules and works well for dial or watch-style projects. The pins are clearly labeled, and the board layout feels clean. I used a library that supports the GC9A01 driver, and it ran without much trouble. It’s helpful that there are three in the pack, especially for experimenting with different UI designs. Good size for compact builds or any project that needs a circular interface.

This round 1.28" TFT display is good for projects that require analog dial. This can be clock, meter, status, etc... The TFT display is good and bright (with 2 backlight.) The 240x240 resolution makes it sharp. The RGB color makes it beautiful. The SPI interface allows for fast animation. You can googled GC9A01 and find tutorial on how to use it.

This is an excellent round LCD panel. It’s very easy to work with, and it looks great. Definitely take note that it uses 3.3V power and logic, so if you power it with an Arduino (like I did) be sure to use a level shifter or some resistors to drop the logic level down to 3.3V. There is a lot of sample code online to get you up and running quickly with this display, and it worked for me on the first try. Easy 5 stars here.

I’m really impressed with this LCD display set! It came with three pieces, which is perfect for multiple Arduino projects or for experimenting with different setups. The quality of the displays is top-notch, and I’ve had no issues with them so far. The clarity of the display is excellent, and it’s easy to read, even when the backlight is on lower settings. These screens really add a lot of functionality to my DIY electronics projects.Setting them up was a breeze. They work seamlessly with my Arduino boards, and the included instructions were clear and straightforward, making the process even easier. Whether you’re displaying simple text or more complex data, these LCD displays handle it without any lag or issue. I’ve used them in several projects, and they’ve all been reliable. For the price, getting three LCD displays is a fantastic deal. The quality is great, and they provide great value, especially if you’re working on multiple Arduino projects or need a spare. I’ve already recommended these to other hobbyists and would definitely purchase again if I need more. Whether you're a beginner or experienced with Arduino, this LCD display set is a must-have!
