I was really impressed. All the parts arrived intact and nothing was bent or rusted (a problem I've had with several other brands). The package even included a little pounding hammer and safety gloves which have not been included in all of the other shelving systems I've purchased and imagine this, clear directions! There are no bolts or tools required. You slide the button knobs into the keyhole shaped opening in the frame, and then pound them in with the little hammer that was included.Having built a few of these now, I always connect the shelves at the top and the bottom for stability. Then you can set the middle shelf anywhere you'd like there's plenty of keyholes along the frame to adjust for your needs. (I count about 12 keyholes from the top for my middle shelf)I have put together other shelves like this before so I was able to do this in literally less than 10 minutes by myself. (I'm a middle-aged female with some mobility limitations)I would definitely recommend these style shelves. They are easy to put together and take apart. They're easy to adjust the height of the center shelf. They are light enough to move to a different location and sturdy enough to stay in place. 5 stars!

So when I opened the box and started removing all the parts, I started thinking that these shelves were too flimsy to be any good... Surprisingly however, these are quite a bit more sturdy than I first thought. Assembly was easy and as each piece went onto the last, it really started firming up. I wont kid you, they are thin gauge shelves so they will not take point loading very well but it will handle quite a bit spread out over several sq-inches.They look very nice, I think it is some kind of baked on coating, looks like it should withstand normal usage. One bot I would mention though is that the plastic feet at the bottom of the shelf support posts could stand a better design to keep them in place. I picked up the assembled unit to move it to location and found that two fell off in the move. (I suppose I'll have to use a dab of the gorilla)My shelf kit came with a cute little plastic mallet to help seat parts together and a single glove. Don't know why only one and not a pair but the thought was appreciated. (I'm sure it was meant to be a pair)Nothing to do with the shelves, but I really hate the Styrofoam used to protect the parts from damage. Oh I am glad it had protection, I just hate those little nasty bits of Styrofoam that flies about for weeks cuz it sticks to everything except the garbage can.I did received this product for “free” yes, but... the Federal and State agencies do require that I pay income tax's on the retail value of the product. In any case, this review is my honest opinion and completely independent from seller or manufacturer involvement.

This is a review of the 3 shelf unit.At first I was a little perplexed that there are no screws or bolts involved in assembling this unit. Instead, you slide, for lack of a better word, pegs, into keyhole type holes. The instructions are not great, and the video you can link to is even worse. It took me a while to figure out.But much to my surprise, once I got going it not only was easy, but much sturdier than I would have thought.Once all the legs and cross pieces are installed, it starts to get stable. Then you place the shelves, and what do you know, very stable! Clever design. By the way, there is a plastic mallet to bang the pieces together into the keyholes. I found you absolutely must do that to insure stability. My one tip would be to secure the fairly flimsy "feet." I put them in, turned over the legs, and the feet went flying. I learned my lesson and glued in all of them.Bottom line: a real neat shelf unit at a good price.

Note: at the time I am writing this review, the size I ordered isn’t showing on the listing so some of its features may not apply to the units now on the listing. The shelving unit was pretty easy to put together. While it came with a rubber mallet, I strongly recommend upgrading to a hammer if you have one since it will make the process much faster--it only took me one or two taps of the hammer to make the pieces settle firmly in place, while the rubber mallet was not that successful. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall look of the unit. While the shelving brackets have the traditional knobs that go into the holes of the legs, these legs are designed to have a cover over the holes along the outside, which gives is a really nice look since it is just metal visible without all the holes. The one downside that I found to having that additional metal covering was that it was sometimes hard to confirm that the knobs were fully inserted into the holes (because you can’t see the backside to confirm they have made it through). The shelves were solid metal sheets (not a metal grid like the listing currently shows). I currently have a 25 lb bag of flour on one of the shelves and the shelf does not appear to be drooping (yet). However, I did notice if I press on the shelf, it makes a thumping noise similar to a safety seal pop up button, so I am guessing the weight has caused some effect to the shape of the shelf, which eventually could turn into sagging. As a result, I think I will be careful with how much weight I place on the shelf and make sure the weight is as distributed as I can make it.

This shelf is really sturdy and was easy to put together. My daughter put it together and it took less than 10 minutes. Even though it's metal it's very light and easy to move around.A pair if gloves and a mallet were included. Neither were necessary to put the shelf together. There were no sharp edges so I'm not sure why the gloves were included. The gloves were tiny and fit my 10 year old grandson..I only have one negative thing to say about the shelf. The plastic feet that sits on the bottom of the shelf all fell off when I lifted the shelf! I'm going to glue them on so I don't lose them.
